Early Access Review
Here's a review from a competitive player top 0.2% overall rating/top 50 kill rating, who's not new to BR or FPS's in general.
First of all from what I see this game is getting a lot of positive reviews and it really should, I haven't had this much fun playing a BR game in a long time, probably since like the early EA days of PUBG, or season 3 of fortnite, which is over a year at this point. It feels a lot like a much faster, less filled with bad content PUBG, kind of like the early days of it. The movement is also much smoother.

My main point of this review is to clarify some rather poor reviews from more than likely salty/unexperienced players.
People giving this game negative reviews for having basically fortnites battle pass are idiots, it's a F2P game for ♥♥♥♥♥ sake, it needs to add some form of paid cosmetics to keep going.

Weapon balance:
Overall the weapon balance is surprisingly pretty good. Shotguns can OHK an unarmoured player/basic armour pretty often from close range which is already in my opinion a huge improvement to how ♥♥♥♥♥♥ the shotguns were in PUBG, (yes this game is pretty similar to PUBG in many aspects so I'll mainly use it for comparison).

Someone here said the M4A1 is so overpowered to the point where a worse player will almost always win duels vs a better player, this person right here is very wrong. Some of the weapons you will never use outside of early game and that is expected with any other BR game, there are obviously some weapons better than others but there is no weapon that is better than any other in every aspect. As someone who again, scores high kill games fairly often I can tell you that 90% of duels if not more come down to the players positioning and aim and not the weapon, as it should be.

Movement

Player-picked spawns interesting change to the usual drop and land start in pretty much all the other big BR's. Players pick a small square grid (1 per solo player or squad) on the map before the game starts, everyones choice is shown on the map so you can expect how many players are gonna be in your area without wasting time to look everywhere around you while landing like everywhere else. It completely removes the RNG aspect of where you will choose to spawn and whether that's a good change or not is entirely up to you. Personally so far I'm enjoying it. It also reduces a lot of downtime.

Kits - Support certain playstyles pretty well, I find them fun and it adds to the variety, after a few adjustments could really be a meta changer.

Conclusion
This game has a lot of potential and to be honest for a completely free BR game that only launched recently it seems to have a lot of things right,a healthy playerbase and it runs decent on a fairly outaded PC. Hopefully the devs don't ♥♥♥♥ this one up. If you used to enjoy PUBG/H1Z1/Fortnite and got sick of them because of their ♥♥♥♥ decisions this is deffinitely worth a try, its free and its only 5 Gigs. Atleast as of now this game good.

EDIT: I forgot to mention that the unique idea of how the zones work and the helicopter phase at the end is actually amazing.

Having played all the previous games in Kingdom Rush series on the android I picked up this on sale for half price.
Completed the whole game + DLC, with all achievements in 20 hours.

IMO the best game in the series.
> The PC Port is top notch,
> The graphics and sounds are great.
> The new towers have a lot more variety compared to the original.
> New hero leveling system, hero levels are kept throughout levels, and also all heroe's have different upgrades.
> there is NO dlc or microtransactions. This is a big change from the F2P iOS/Android version. All heroe's are available for free, including 3 free expansions.
> Very do-able achievements.

Must play if you like tower defense games.

Not much to say, I own this game for almost 3 years now and since then the game has gotten roughly 10 updates. With only maybe 2 being worth mentioning if even, given the time waiten.

The game idea is great but don't let that fool you like it did with me, the developers are the definition of ♥♥♥♥. Updates takes atleast 4-5 months to reach experimental, and then atleast another month till it actually hits stable and you don't need to play on ♥♥♥♥♥♥ experimental servers that crash all the time, and every update brings more game-breaking bugs.

You might think then that the updates bring a lot to the table, nope. Instead of making a list I'll just use the most recent example, it took the developers almost 6 months to bring an update to stable servers that basically was just a copy and paste of ARMA 3's sound and an addition of really buggy wolves, they literally just revised the sound system in the game, yet still havent fixed a serious bug in the game that doesn't make you hear shots everytime (sounds are crucial in PvP moments)

Have a look at their roadmaps for 2015 and 2016, only like 2 things ever made it into the game and they're still half-working. Even the original creator left the team. They release these status reports every month which it seems they use just to keep players hooked for longer while having no purpose at all, they also put artwork into gamefiles of helicopters and new weapons and2 years later they're still just artwork files, not in-game.

In other words this game ain't worth ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, I put 500 hours into this buggy af running simulator (literally), believing in all that ''early access game'' ♥♥♥♥♥ but looking back the game is almost identical to what it was when I started almost 3 years ago, a smelly pile of ♥♥♥♥.

Pro's:
-Co-op (which actually isnt bugged like in the first game)
-Character development
-Achievments & Challenges
-Fun combat

Cons:
-Story - feels like it was rushed and very little intresting going on.
-Characters not emphasised enough
-Side quests unrewarding and mostly a boring filler to the game.
-Skill tree's are almost identical to each character
-Bad reviving system

I played the game for probably 19 hours if you take away the time spent on being afk or having the game run in the background whilst waiting for friends to come on.

In those 19 hours i managed to complete almost every quest except a couple towards finishing the 2nd zone, got to almost max level, and collected about 75-80% of the collectibles, all this while also messing around with my friends.

However it was still worth the money cause we got it on a sale but Its not worth the full price unless you want to do literally everything on 100% which you will spend more time doing than the actual story and it does feel like a massive grind after a while.

Also only recommend playing this with a friend.
