Can't recommend in the current state the game is in if you intend to not only play the army general mode.

Team games are the only fun part playing the army general campaign's with friends. The other side is the balancing that sucks out the ass with not to mention paradox level monetisation. Not out right bad but just only worth on to play the different campaigns (Northag and up coming southag). With in regular skirmish pvp divisions being locked if you didn't pay extra since you are locked out except the base divisions with soon them being the minor part of the division list with either extreme ends of being overpowered to downright unfun due to just them being direct downgrades. This is not helped by some facts of new DLC divisions mostly being direct upgrades to some base game divisions taking the better parts of the divisions and slapping it in with the new stuff not making them anymore unique to a division with those being left in the dust. Balancing these also takes now a days over 2 months since Eugen has decided to ship balancing now with the new content at the same time making most people wait for a broken unit to be fixed. Also expect crashes/freezing still, since they are more focused on content (with heavy part on not being transparent to people who play)

At least paradox lets people pay for a tiny subscription for DLC or have the host own the DLCs to have everyone get the full content. Hell even ready or not has this,

In the end only play for the army general mode really that's where the only fun in this game is anymore. The Eugen is only waking up now after they have minor competive market.
