An extension of the original Subnautica story, while it is smaller...it improves on stuff the original game had,
the graphics are better somewhat, new interesting environments and sea animals,
catchy new soundtrack that emphasizes the mysterious and mystical Subnautica aesthetic,
there are more interactions with other side characters that the original game lacked which is to me was improved the immersion...
and story takes an interesting approach where it is following two main objectives in the story (finding your sister, and finding the secrets of the Architect Al-An) which some people may not like
overall i think they did a pretty good job with this game and cant wait to see what Unknown Worlds will make in the future!

fun game

This is a good game to chill and relax, plenty of additional content and very good mod support. I could say its one of the best driving games out there. I have played it for hundreds of hours and would definitely recommend it for those interested in relaxing driving games.

+ The gameplay is loads of fun and deeper than I ever would have thought. In a basic sense you are a Slime rancher who goes out and catches a variety of slimes. You then feed them fruits, vegetables, or meat (chicken) which makes the slime create "Plorts" which you can sell and use that currency to build up your farm.
+ I found this game to be very charming and surprisingly relaxing. It is very casual, so you don't have to worry too much about getting killed, and even if something does goes wrong you can easily rebuild in a short amount of time.
+ Visually the game is super cute with adorable slimes with faces, and a very pleasing art style that is colorful and just a joy to explore.
+ "Plorts' are gems that every slime creates. If you feed a slime a plort from a different type of slime it turns into a brand new cross-breed slime. It is so much fun to experiment with different slimes and can be very rewarding too!
+ There is a large variety of things you can purchase at the shops. Upgrades for your character, upgrades for your pens, new pens, farming fields for food, and you can even purchase the ability to unlock brand new areas to explore.
+ The game kinda just throws you in, and allow you to learn and play at your own pace. Normally this would be a downside from my perspective, but Slime Rancher is incredibly intuitive and very easy to learn. You sorta just learn as you go without needing any help or tutorials.
+ Nice relaxing soundtrack

This game is in early access so these are subject to change
- There doesn't seem to be any story or character development. I feel like there really should be a main objective or some sort of plotline to keep you invested. At the moment there doesn't seem to be any goals or reasons to advance besides getting to new areas and finding new slimes.
- Currently lacks content. From my expeirence, you can do just about everything there is to do in under 3 hours. There needs to be more variety of slimes, and more things to do overall which I hope will find its way into the final release,

and its the best anti-deprasnt.
