A stunning story and visually stunning game.
I can recommend this game to anyone who is looking for a great story and is looking for a mix between Tomb Raider, Sniper Elite and medieval feeling.

If you want to experience a beautiful story about a girl who wants to save her brother and find out why all those events are happening, this is a game for you.


You have the Puzzle Solving from Tomb Raider. The tactical, even if very basic and often brute force-able, combat from Sniper Elite and of course the medieval feeling, from it being set in medieval France.

What I especially liked about the story was, that everytime you thought: "Well this has to be the last chapter, right?" It wasnt, of course you could look into the achievements and see how many chapters the game has, but that would be boring and would spoil too much.

10/10 Game.

Supergiant Games is known for their absolutely stunning games, and this game is no exception.
If you like action RPGs with a great story and dont mind looking around every corner to maybe find a little bit of extra world building then this a game for you.

This game however is not a game for people who want fast paced action all the time like in shooters or other action RPGs, the beauty of this game comes from all the side interactions and the emotions conveyed in those side interactions.

Combat is plentyfull in this game and the comments from the characters during combat keeps the tone of the game, the combat can either be a tactical masterpiece if ambush and attack from further away are your method of eliminating enemies or it can be balls to the wall, lets dive these suckers.

A bit Hard, Story aint the best, its more a "meh lets see what the next of em got" game, but trust me TIAVH2 is way harder than this one :D

WIth the recent DLCs Im gonna have to say this is a hard pass by now.
Mechanics that shouldnt exist arent being fixed since 2016.
Features that shouldve been in the game from the start are/were DLC.
Navy is just ass before it was easy, just build Torpedo Bombers and reck the living ♥♥♥♥ out of navies (man I wish there were 2 battleships in real life that each were the Pride of the Navy from two different Major Axis powers that just got shredded thanks to Torpdeo Bombers or Naval Aviation)
Most Focus Trees are outdated and take wayy too long to complete, yeah I dont want to be finished with my Focus Tree in 1942 but I also dont want a Focus Tree that takes until 1952 because the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ games laggs after 1942 or even WHILE PAUSED.
As I just eluded to, the game laggs like a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ as soon as the war kicks into gear and the fact that AI Nations like El Salvador literally run out of Manpower while still ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ out 40 or so Divisions on their single tile Country does not ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ help.
Peace Deals are an absolute mess against the AI, you want to take the old german Colonies back? Nah ♥♥♥♥ you Italy also wants them, so you fight in the Peace Conference over it, both of you waste your points until you say ♥♥♥♥ it I dont need Namibia that bad, Italy then for whatever ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ reason also says: Nah aint worth 4k Points and Forfeits their demand on it resulting in South Africa still being alive and independent in Namibia (WTF PARADOX?!)


Now insted of me just ranting here for half an hour, lets look at some positive things about this game: MODS!
Want to have the best experience playing Hoi4 because, hey its still a good game despite all its flaws, then go to the Workshop get Kaiserreich and see what HOI4 couldve been, yeah Kaiserreich also hides a lot of stuff from you, like: How do I get communist Bulgaria or some paths that even their Wiki explains like ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

But why have I wasted over 2500 hours at the time of this review into this game? Because this game is digitzied crystal meth, when it hits it hits hard and I really like number go up on my achievments

DEVs are so brain-dead they cant programm a functioning Peace Conference or a functioning frontline-system ♥♥♥♥ me!
