If you have never played sonic before- this game is fine. You will have fun playing it.

If you are a returning veteran who is familiar with these games however, you WILL notice that the sound and physics are off. The game is fundamentally not as fun to control. Additionally on PC way better ports exist, i.e Sonic 1 Forever, Sonic 2 Absolute, Sonic 3 Air, Sonic CD & Knuckles.

The pricing scheme has always been horribly evil, and as many have pointed out, the aforementioned ports are available for free. While this game is majorly overpriced. (Even including literal lying in the marketing: "New Characters".)

Also the PC verison comes with spyware called denuvo, awesome.

If you're gonna buy it, buy it on console. If you're looking for a high quality port, look elsewhere.

play with mods (I don't go fast in vanilla)
