TLDR: I would recommend taking reviews from people who have not finished the game with a grain of salt. The games second half is much better than the first, and a lot of the issues from the first half are a set up for the second. Minor spoilers ahead.

I love the octopath series. Octopath 2 is probably close to my top 10 of all time, and I enjoyed the first greatly as well, although it was hurt by a lack of polish. The lack of polish is also back in Octopath 0, and is much more noticeable coming off of octopath 2. The player characters are barely developed, the audio compression is pretty bad, especially in English, and imo a lot of the character bios that give the world a lot of the charm in the first two games aren't nearly as interesting.

However, I still think if you are an octopath fan this game is absolutely worth playing. The overall story is much more connected than the first two games, and it really pays off in the second half of the game. I will be thinking about the villain from bestower of wealth for a long time, and he's up there with my favorite characters from the first two games. The final arc is also amazing, but near impossible to explain without major spoilers.

I understand why people would struggle to get through the first arcs, especially considering how long they are, but I'd absolutely say its worth it.

Also people complaining about reused music definitely didn't get to most of the new songs later in the game, I think there's probably even more new songs (from COTC) than reused ones, and all the new songs are 10/10 incredible. Even if you don't play it, I'd seriously recommend giving them a listen.

As a side note, what were the devs thinking when they made reime's kit she's so insanely strong compared to the rest of the cast its hilarious. Sorry had to get that out, people who recruited her I'm sure most of you get what I mean.

Shadow generations is literally the best sonic game ever released and its not even sonic. It makes sonic generations look like shovelware in comparison I'm not joking. Please play this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game if you have ever once enjoyed a sonic game in your life.

Was worried when I saw the performance complaints but surprisingly it really wasn't that bad. Lowest I got was mid 40s in the big field at the start and other than that stayed in the 55-60 range. My specs aren't nearly as good as some of the people having issues either. It might not be optimized for newer hardware. Game itself seems great though, excited for full release.

Realized I never recommended this game. I went out of my way to 100% it when I rarely do so, if you like card games at all you should play it. I don't even like the majority of card based roguelites and I have 170+ hours. OST also bangs.

This game is honestly incredible. Might be one of my favorite trpgs of all time. I am a sucker for spending hours customizing and optimizing builds, and this game certainly lets you do that. The flexibility allowed from borrowing cards, and even the items specifically made for builds between two separate characters decks makes team building important even when you only change one character. Just don't set the archer on fire or your character might vanish before your eyes.

Removed my original review since Sony was supposedly going to not be completely stupid, but in that review I stated I had no faith in Sony even if they went back on the changes. Clearly I was right.

Into The Breach is a hard game to review. On one hand, it is well-polished, and the core mechanics work well. On the other hand, it is exceedingly simple, and feels like it was designed for mobile. Hell, if this was a mobile game I would say without question its fantastic. But for a steam release, that requires you to sit down and play, it is honestly too easy. At the point of writing this review, I have played one run. The first problem is that run took 3 hours. That's fine because they let you beat the game with less islands if you choose. However, the real problem is that I won my first run. Going in, I knew next to nothing about this game, and I expected it would probably take a few runs to get good enough to even attempt to win. Then I won my only run clearing all four islands, with little to no difficulty. It's worth noting that I am fairly experienced in this genre, so I expected to do pretty well, but even still it's too easy.

TLDR Fun game, but should be a mobile game and it's too easy.
If you are experienced with the genre don't expect it to be difficult, if not it's at least worth a try.
Steam please give us a meh option for reviews.

There should be a limit framerate option. The default 4 fps is just too high for most gamers.
