Early Access Review
Robot muppets invade homes and steal belongings on behalf of an antagonistic AI, to sell for money, to buy gadgets, to help steal more things.

Also, there's monsters.

Devs are active and excited about making their game.

A+

"Fatal Errors" making even the demo unplayable is not a great sign.

Less a "game" and more a "program." A great *chill* city builder. Perfect for taking screenshots for backgrounds or whatever. I use it to have backdrop images for Roll 20 on my TTRPG night. S-tier city builder, music, and photo mode, for its price.

There is no excuse for charges of real money for access to features of a single-player game.

This is naked greed.

Capcom should be ashamed.

It's a well-designed indie-title, in that it takes slightly longer than 2 hours of play to realize there's barely more than 2 hours of content.

My advice to new players, and players who've tried and failed to enjoy the game would be this:

Try not to get frustrated with the game when you get stuck. Instead, step away or do something else for a while, and come back to it in another hour, another day, with a fresh perspective.

The game doesn't have much in the way of a tutorial, and tends to be pretty sparse about telling you what or how to do anything - but this is by design. Figuring out how the game works is figuring out how the *world* works. Remember that a little progress is still progress, and you don't have to make big strides each play session.

As you learn, the feeling of your understanding broadening is very satisfying, and I hope that you'll experience that.

As for the game itself, it's hard to say too much about it without spoiling things, so I'll just say, the aesthetic, setting, and lore are incredible. The game gives me this feeling I've only gotten a few other times, from things like World of Darkness (Mage especially), or Alan Wake - like I'm experiencing an altered perspective, not just a story. It's something I really enjoy, and if you do also, I encourage you to try it out, and think of it as a puzzle.

Early Access Review
Runs very smooth for a game that's one day into Early Access. I find Battle Royal mechanics can feel a bit stale, but the clan and archetype abilities, along with the resonance mechanics keep this interesting.

Hard to make any legitimate criticisms of the game so early - my only complaints, so far, are the (very) low XP gain once you're out of daily missions, and I'd like to see some sort of metagame progression for the player to invest in, maybe like DbD Bloodwebs? The experience feels a little hollow, when you're just grinding XP for the next Battlepass tier.

These are all pretty modest criticisms, though, and it's Early Access, so any/all of it might change. Definitely recommend giving this a try if you've got some friends to play with, or if you're a V:TM fan. Great to see new content be made.

EDIT: As of September 10, the XP players earn has been, in total, more than doubled. It now feels much more satisfying to complete a match and see how much progress you made.

EDIT: The game is now launched, and runs great. Achievement player %s seem broken, and the icons/banners you can choose keep resetting, currently, but these are both minor issues. Also, an Archetype for the Ventrue clan was added! The game is good fun, especially with friends. I would definitely encourage anybody to give it a try, particularly if you're a fan of team battle royal, World of Darkness, or you are a parkour enjoyist.
