I really enjoy rhythm games and this one plays differently than anything else I've ever played! I find the learning curve was a bit frustrating, and changing the language to english equally so.. There's some glitches and mistranslations here and there, but it's a super fun and charming game! I just wish there was more/cheaper stuff you could buy with in game currency, and that there were a few more tutorials for certain aspects of the game outside of the rhythm racing.

Overall good game. Has a decent amount of variety and the campaign mode is neither too easy or too tough. I needed mods to make certain aspects of the game more accessible, but all in all pretty good.

I used to play terraria all the time with a group of friends a few years ago.. I haven't played much since but recently got into it again.
It's a fun game and the customization and mods and everything about it is really charming. I like survival games but too many of them add on things that seem redundant or just stressful [batteries, hunger meters, etc] so I've always really loved terraria being more about the survival from monsters and growth + cultivation of your world, opposed to having to manage a ton of little things.

I absolutely hate that I can't customize sensitivity for the joysticks when I use a controller so the game isn't as accessible for me anymore due to my worsening hands + wrists.. so that's a major downer.. but all in all it's a really good game. Definitely prefer to play with others opposed to myself though, a big part because of the wrist issues but also cause some bosses seem unnecessarily hard for single player so it's a lot easier to die on your own haha,

I used to get frustrated with this and stopped using it for.. god probably a couple years, but not it works well as intended and lets me use mods a lot easier.

I love this game a lot. Me and a friend ended up basically blasting through most of the levels including the DLC. I wish there was more :'))

There's some wonky stuff here and there, but all in all it's great. I won't lie though I probably wouldn't have ever bought this for the price since the DLCs mostly cost money too but my friend was really nice and got it for me cause i love puzzle games.

I wish I could write a proper review but I haven't even gotten a single ending yet, so all I can really say at the moment is this game is driving me ABSOLUTELY INSANE in the most "I gotta keep playing" way. Like it's spooky and creepy and weird and gross and i'm having a great time.
since I do like the game a lot and have 20 hours in the span of just a few days I'm mostly just going to be putting complaints here lmao, cause anything besides "you like scary stuff??" for suggesting the game would be spoilery and i don't feel like managing spoilers sorry.

Anyway.. I find some of the RNG is absolutely awful with books [hello to my total of like 6 copies of the same friggin book in one run all from the grand library] and how almost every enemy can get one last attack off on you after you've technically killed/defeated them the most infuriating parts of the game[genuinely i beheaded a guy and then he immediately nerfed my ally.. i went back did the same thing but instead he killed me while my ally still survived and then the entire game errored and i had to close out], especially when you did really well or got through something super easy one run, die soon after, and when you try to redo it you keep dying repeatedly to an enemy because close to 20 attacks in a row missed entirely with EVERY character even if you chose a different weapon... and for when you finally get through it smoothly suddenly you can't find a single book you want/need and are stuck to suffer and starve.

Like don't get me wrong I enjoy the challenge, dying and repeating and choosing to cut limbs off or restart or whatever else is fun and interesting and while maayybbee a tiny bit annoying sometimes if you're trying really hard to do something all in all it's A LOT of fun... but... man i'm playing on normal mode and you're really going to give me 6 copies of the same book that do literally nothing for me that's just depressing and made me have to stop playing for the night after one more attempt at something. [too bad i'm locked into those books now because i don't wanna have to redo everything]

anyway like that aside, yeah good game. If you're not one to rage quit and you are comfortable enough to deal with all the content warnings, especially if you're into creepy body horror and silent hill aesthetics, def reccommend the game.

if you're prone to fits of rage, hate repeating the same thing over and over again, or are triggered by the content instead of just severely uncomfortable with it,... perhaps skip the game.

OH and tiny bug i couldn't find anything about, once in a blue moon you just suddenly can't use any items or skills or read any books or anything.. entering and then leaving a fight immediately fixes it. It happened twice while in the ancient city and i have no clue what caused it.

Secret word: Appreciate

I'm not gonna lie I overall enjoyed this game and ironically, really appreciated the end text lol, but I really wish there would have been a proper warning for the paranoia inducing and unreality type questions. Those questions can be *extremely* triggering for folks and there was just... so many of them.
One or two without a warning might have been fine, but the sheer amount of them was kind of upsetting so I had to pause the game to collect myself.

I've been wanting to play this game since I first heard of it, and eventually one of my friends bought the game for me and I've fallen in love with it.

Harvest moon has always been a big part of my life, and I've played pretty much every single harvest moon [including Save the Homeland for Playstation 2] so when I saw this game I was ESTATIC! Finally a harvest moon-like game for the computer! [aside from emulated games and very short and/or difficult versions of the game]
The game is extremely cute, easy to get into, and the characters are very charming. I really have very few complaints and even then the good far outweighs my complaints that I'm just absolutely head over heels for the game.
I'm only in my first year right now as I stopped playing for awhile because of college and getting sick and stuff, but I'll put some more indepth stuff below. [Beware of VERY MINOR spoilers]

I'll post my complaints first since the good stuff will be way longer:

First off, I feel like the diaglouge is a little bit lacking for some of the characters, and a lot of it is reptitive. I understand that the game has a lot of different focuses but I do think the game could definitely benefit from better dialogue.

The game is... extremely yellow. This is mostly just an aesthetic thing that I don't like [so I've downloaded mods to change the color of the maps and other things] it just seems far too saturated and sort of hurts my eyes.

once you get a certain number of hearts with maru in one of her events demetrius essentially threatens you... Which was.. really oof. It seemed out of place and was overall just really bad.

Other than that I just feel like there's minor mechanic things that are a little weird, The bow-legged sprites make me laugh[so I guess they're both good and bad] and I wish there were settings for organizing your inventory so it doesn't change the placement of certain tools since I prefer certain tools to be in a very specific spot.

THE GOOD! [There's a lot but I'll try to keep it short]

The game is EXTREMELY cute. I still ended up downloading mods to make some animals look more like harvest moon animals and have changed some of the hair settings myself, as well as downloaded just a lot of mods to change how things look... but even without them the game just has a really nice aesthetic [aside from the overbearing yellow-tones]

The characters are charming and silly and sweet! [Most of them are sweet anyway] It's a lot of fun to get to know them.

The mines are a lot more fun than most harvest moon games that have mining, though a small complaint I think there's a few too many monsters [but then again I just don't really like combat in games like these]

The festivals are very nice and fun to do. I absolutely adored the moonlight jellies and the haunted maze. Both were a lot of fun.

The secret forest thing really was secret! I had no idea it existed until a friend told me about it. Which was 90% really cool and [though it could be a wee-bit bigger] and 10% me feeling stupid that I never thought to look around more. Either way I love it and it's a good place to get slimes without having to go into the mines.

And lastly I love the fact that even though the game is really similar to a lot of harvest moon games, it still has it's own originality and has a lot more to do than *most* games like this.

You get what you pay for. That's the shorthand of it.

Visuals 9/10
Audio 7.5/10
Storyline 5/10
mechanics 3.. maybe 3.5/10
Characters 5/10
Monster/character designs 6.5/10

Pros:
-The gore is amazing. I absolutely love gore and that's one of the main reasons I wanted to get this game.
-The storyline.. it only starts out good though
-The main character. Their reaction to things was honestly pretty funny and for the most part realistic despite trying to get through all of the poor translations.
-The music/audio. It was absolutely my favorite part of the game besides the visuals.

Cons:
-The storyline... turned into pointless BS that made no sense
-The mechanics... You end up walking about 3-4 times slower when you have the gun out. I could understand slightly slower, but it's an insanely noticable amount slower.
-The gun itself.. if you're even slightly off, it won't even hit the enemy. Very frustrating and you waste a lot of ammo.
-the fact that the "enemies won't respawn if you kill them all" only works in small rooms. I mainly just outrun most of the enemies, but when I didn't, it wasted a lot of ammo thinking it be the same for all of the rooms.
-very long reload game time
-saves were put very sporatically sometimes very close together and sometimes very far apart, makes having to re-go through parts of the game after dying excessively annoying.

Although I overall enjoyed this game, it was more frustrating than anything, and got worse as a whole as it went on. It had a lot of potential, but didn't live up to any of the minor expectations I did have for the game. Needs a lot of work, but if you're looking to just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ around and don't mind having to repeat a lot of things, you might enjoy playing it too.

More in depth about the cons of the game:
Minor spoilers below

The beginning was a bit slow paced, but once you actually get into the game, it's pretty decent. The story is a bit weird to follow and there are times when you're not exactly sure what you need to be doing, but it's nice to give you a minor bit of free exploration. As time goes on though, the story starts to make less and less sense. Like why is Bobo able to live in his little apartment without zombies coming to attack him? Doesn't seem like he has any weapons other than his kitchen knives, and why tf is he there anyway? His whole character was idiot and pointless and just... Seemed really out of place compared to everything else that was going on.
Another thing is, you don't even really have to shoot any of the monsters a majority of the time, which frankly I enjoyed because I hate combat in these types of games, so it was nice to be able to run past the monsters. Although it was extremely frustrating that if you got hit by even one monster, you'd practically get frozen for a second and get stuck to the monster so it's really easy to get cornered if you lag, or don't pay attention for more than a second.

On the subject of both storyline and battle mechanics... The closer to the end you got, the worse the game got. The fourth wall breaking ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ was honestly just... pointless. Things like that can be done well, but how it was done was very poorly. You got one distorted room and then you're instantly told what's going on. You could have left it to the player's imagination and slowly snuck in bits and pieces explaining that, instead of just dumping it onto the player.
The whole glitch/bug thing right before the final boss was absolutely terrible to look at. I felt like it was burning my retinas at some point.
And onto the battle mechanics, and the fighting in general.. The final boss? ♥♥♥♥. Trash. Garbage. It was insanely terrible. The first half of the battle was relatively easy, and I enjoyed going through it, but once you get to the second phase, the lasers are almost impossible to dodge [especially if you're walking at a snails pace because you didn't put your gun up] and the instant death is horrible. Then you have to go through his long disgustingly drawn out pitiful fourth wall speech again.. and again... and again... and again.
