Deck based city builder with Tetris like gameplay. It's good fun. Addicting, but not boring 8/10

I have played a decent amount of the first game. The overall mood is much different in this one. It's less suspense/ slow tick towards destruction and more "*BAM* You're boned 100 people died. Should of moved the slider you missed."
I haven't finished the story yet, but it's paced well. The cutscenes break my immersion, because they try to force being unnerving and come off more goofy. I LOVE the ability to have colonies that produce different things and need to work in tandem. It's very well done. I wish this game was Frostpunk 1 with that feature. An expanded version of the "On the Edge" scenario where you play as New London. Much like they attempted here.
The gameplay is different than the first game. It's much more open and free flowing, but also very limited in scope. Frostbreak, build district in heat, move slider, build special building to fill the demand, new city, do it over. Your district locations are almost entirely predetermined at the start. It's less of a desperate defense against the weather and more replaying until can save scum the "decisions". In order to find the right order to build, the right option on the prompt. Not the free flowing "I don't have enough wood to build the roads where I want them and the coal thumper at once, so I have to put it here for now" of the first game. Just plop plop plop, all in the right order to avoid prearranged disaster.
There's also a lot of reading. Everything you do requires reading pages worth of words to understand certain elements, it's a slog to skim for new information that isn't blindingly obvious. I just despise reading though.
Overall, not as good as the first game, but it looks a lot better. I respect the want to push the envelope. I played in beta, I'm glad they delayed it. The added flavor was worth while, however it doesn't quite have they gravitas of the first game.
I was excited for a very long time. As it stands now, I'm a bit disappointed. It would need to be expanded upon heavily to come close to the first game, but it's still good fun.
7/10. Get Frostpunk with all the DLC. I love them all. They each do something different very well. I have every achievement in the first game, so I feel like I know Frostpunk.

One of my favorites. The only time communist works. The only game I care about achievement hunting in. 100/10

Very fun. I played it for a few days and took over the city pretty easily once I figured out a simple strategy. Be SUPER aggressive. Pick a color, take the states separating you from them just enough to flip to your color (about halfway) while building up 3 common and 2 marksmen. It doesn't matter if you go into debt. Glass cannon expand and throw trials or retire when it's too much and enjoy the passive income as you do it again. Kill the gangs sequentially ignoring the middle until you naturally progress there. I've noticed a few bugs. Your goons cracking off rounds whenever they move, the audio loop for battles starts a few second early and if you get lock down as a concert ends, it opens the closed tables before the timer ends. I wish you could keep runs going after you take over the city, so you can just idle and watch the money. The forced restart bummed me out. 9.5/10

Yakuza 0 without fighting styles. The final cut scene of the Majima missions is worth the price tag by itself. The story was full of twist, just like the other games. Kiwami 2 felt longer than Kiwami, which is a plus. 30 hours in and a bunch of side stories left. Might take 100 hours to 100% depending on difficulty and whether or not you're using an online guide. 8/10. Solid game.

I love this game. With 70+ hours played, I can say that it keeps it's shine after the test of time. Replaying the game is just as fun as playing the first time. I only have two issues with the game. First is combat is very lackluster, you hide with whomever you scavenge with (preferably Roman to clear a building first) and bait enemies in and backstab them. Second is the stacking system. Unless you start with someone with a decent amount of inventory space, the stacking makes early game pretty slow. But stacking can easily be fixed with a mod.

I got this game during the last sale. The game itself isn't bad, it's story rich and hard to walk away from 8/10. That being said, $30 is a little much for this game.
