One of the best purchases I've made on steam, I've spent nearly 300 hours playing with friends many of which included multiple all night sessions.

I would recommend ignoring the "Recent" negative review score (reviews made in the past 30 days) as it's simply salt filled angry reviews about the paid DLC and not the actual game, in which the people doing so need to HTFU and realize a few things.

Ark could be sold as is with half the content for $60 as a completed game by most AAA publishers and few people would complain beyond (we expected this), however the developers not only decide to sell it for half that, but enjoy adding exciting new content for free which newsflash does not feed their families.

Ark is leaving alpha by the end of the year, the DLC content is done and they were excited to release it to the player base rather than sitting on completed DLC for months like most AAA titles.

You can drink from the ocean because all the salt is in the reviews section.
