Great boss fights, stunning visuals, broken new weapons, great DLC 10/10

Optimisation leaves a lot to be desired, and while on my PC the game runs fine, aside from some drops I did not encounter in the base game, the steam deck version went from a locked 40 fps, with an unlocked frame rate around 40-50 fps, to barely holding a locked 30. For a steam deck verified game that ran much smoother pre dlc, I'm a bit disappointed. If you don't own a deck, this wont apply to you.

Amazing game, and has gotten me into harry potter, from someone who never payed it much attention growing up. This game is a great starting point to get you introduced in the world and lore of Hogwarts, and wont spoil any of the movies or books, as this takes place before the main story (if anything it might serve to give you better understanding). Currently I am enjoying the dark arts arena, and can see me playing this loads in the future (exclusive with deluxe edition). The choices you make do feel like they make an impact, its truly a great game, and would definitely recommend it to anyone who is hesitant.

This is not to say the game is without technical issues though, I find myself often having to restart to resolve some odd stutter issue, which is very disorienting, and not a dev myself, but it seems likely related to a memory leak or shader caching, and I hope it can be fixed. This does interrupt the game play experience, and keeps this game from a 9-10/10, which it very well could be, if the technical issues on PC are addressed.

TLDR; The story, combat, and visuals all combine to immerse you in this wonderful world, the best game this year (IMO), technical issues hold it back but otherwise 7.5/10

EDIT: The game has become nearly unplayable with recent updates to both the game and AMD drivers, both updates were supposed to fix performance, not make it worse. I cannot recommend this right now until the game gets fixed, as it severely limits my ability to enjoy the game. These kind of PC ports should not be allowed to 1.0, and frankly shouldn't have gotten past alpha. At least the game was playable at launch, now after 5 minutes of play I drop to 10 FPS, unbelievable. Fix the game, or nobody is going to take you seriously as game developers, who treat the pc community like backwater trash. I'm fuming for good reason, and if you spend 100+ CAD on a game that doesn't run on newer hardware after a supposed performance patch, you'd be fuming too.

Rust is ultimately my favourite game of all time, here's why. When first choosing to play Rust, you can choose between a multitude of servers, with various modifications, some including different gamemodes. Once you find a server that fits the way you want to tackle the game, you can start enjoying everything there is to offer. Although you may find that difficult, as by now, since I've started playing, they have added massive radtowns, oil rigs in the water, a moving cargo ship PvE event, underwater expansion, and yes, electricity. If you chose, you could play on an Arma Life style server, and focus on PvP/E roleplay. You could also grind out a wipe on Rustopia, and put your skills to the test on massive 300 plus man servers, and literally everything in between. Cheers to my favourite game!

Early Access Review
This game is bunch of fun, a whole lot better than Day Z or H1Z1 is for sure. Survival aspect of the game is on point, the buildings are unique, the guns are cool, etc. However, I would like to see higher ammo spawns in the future, maybe have half a clip guarented beside every gun, and make it so ammo spawns more frequently in towns other than Hayward. Base building could also be improved, as floating bases ruin the immersion and I think the devs should take a page out of the Rust book when it comes to base building and raiding, they do it perfect. Other than that I have nothing bad to say about this game, for $20 the game is a steal, and for $10 (on summer sale) it feels like robbery lmao. PvP is on point, and the shotgun sounds badass. No reason not to pick up this game whether solo or with friends, you'll get your moneys worth out of it.

8/10 Would recommend

This game is a huge leap from GTA IV and GTA V for PS4/PS3/XBONE/XBox360, This game's graphical detail is amazing and to me leaves no trace behind that it was originally developed for the 7th gen. The only complaint I have is about multi-player. The only thing about multi-player that I didn't like was the fact that I was kicked, or everyone else was licked from the session. Very annoying when you doing the heist finally and it kicks you out of the session.
I would rate this game 95/100, With the only complaint being the random kicks in multi-player.
