It's a pain to play through this game. The mechanics don't feel as good as Dark Souls, it was way overhyped. After patches it functioned, but I lost my save, my friend lost all of his levels. The enemies are repetitive. I finished it once, I'm glad it's done.

Story is okay, character interaction is minimal. No one seems to care that you're about to kill Adyr, a God, and well all of a sudden you're done. It feels incohesive, Pieta's glad to level your funky stake, but still, all she cares about is the random ass odd stone from the orphanage. Great concept, mediocre execution

co-op was smooth, though. FromSoft can learn a thing or 2 from the co-op experience this game offers

Early Access Review
I've waited for about 6-7 years for a the (in my eyes) perfect survival game and I always thought it would be a realistic first person survival craft game, BUT it isn't. It's this game. I've put in just a few hours and I'm already in love. The way the game progresses is near perfect. I've got no complaints at all. I was quite shocked when I found out you lose a bunch of stuff when you die, but it punishes you just right and it isn't that big of a hassle to get back up to speed. The crit system is quite easy to get used to, but the combat crit windows are unique and take some time to get down, so it's not like you get bored of getting crits. In the heat of the moment it's even quite hard to get the timing right. I love this game with all of my heart.

I thought it would be like source movement wise, but no. There's no strafing. You hold W while being mid-air. It doesn't even come close to the concept of bhopping. This game tries to be something it can't be. It can't have the movement of source games.

Does that make this a bad game? No
Is it falsely advertised? No
Do I feel cheated? Yes
It's a good game, but it's not what I'm looking for. I'd love to see a game just like this with movement based on tf2 and cs:go.

I supported this VN back when it still was on, I think kickstarter, and I've only recently played it. And damn, I wish there was more. I loved the story, the characters and I hope you are going to make more visual novels like this. I hope next time your budget will be a bit higher and you'll be able to create a longer story. I easily get addicted to visual novels and It's always sad when they end, no matter how lengthy they are. You guys really created something amazing.

EDIT: I completely forgot you also made ACE Academy and this is definitely an upgrade from your previous game, since ACE academy was really short and this game totally topped the last one. Now I also remember where the "broseph" part came from in one of the endings, since I couldn't quite figure that out

The name really just says it all: A G O N Y
It hurts to play this game
Every single level is a mess, it's unclear where you should go
It's unclear what your objectives are
Even the game's general visibility is awful
You can't see where you should go, because of all the awful bloodred textures and the grayer textures when you lose your body
Besides that the AI is annoying and the worst of all is that you can't go up too high when you lose your body, because one of the flying spaghetti monsters is coming to pick you up and put you down where you belong. Oh wait no, you actually die when you get grabbed and your progress resets. Now that's just great, isn't it?
It hurt to put 6 hours into this.

Alright this is a pretty fun game. It has lots of difficulty and it's very interesting, but there are some major cons I want to adress:
1. The shadowplay feature sucks, it saves you killing the boss and cuts off at the beginning of the cutscene. The cuts are very abrupt and if you actually wanted to use that footage, then you might as well just record it yourself, because the shadowplay feature is garbage.
2. Button changes, once you change a button you'd think it would visually change in the game as well, right? No, wrong. This game doesn't like you changing the buttons, so when you switch A and B around, instead of actually showing you have to press A to open chests and pick up items it still says B, because you shouldn't change the buttons. Now this isn't that bad, because you can get used to it, but I was figuring out for like 5 minutes in a bossfight how to activate my living weapon Y+B(in my case Y+A).
Now I'm still not done with the buttons, because there's more to it. If you change a button and you alt tab, the buttons basically switch around and you're back to start. You can't change the buttons in the menu. What you actually need to do is alt tab again and you should have your button configs back. I hope stuff like this gets fixed soon.
3. This game is defnitely not made for pc. When I tried playing this with mouse and keyboard it was worse than dark souls. In dark souls you have actual controls like mouse for camera movement and e and q to interact and back out. But this game decided that it was smart to put the camera controls on U, H, N and ;. while J and I are attacks. This is the dumbest ♥♥♥♥ I have ever seen. I didn't even try to configure settings after that, because It would take too long to figure out how to get in the menu, to the controls and change every wrong button to a more civil one which probably would've taken over half an hour to figure out how to change it and to actually change it.
yea, so eehm. Pretty fun game.
