This is the only game that gets road racing motorcycle physics right. It's leaps and bounds ahead of Ride 5, MotoGP 202X, RIMS, and everything else. Once you start playing this, you really wont want to go back to any of those other games.

That being said, this is also probably the most difficult games I've ever played for beginners. At first, you almost certainly wont be able to complete a lap without crashing (or inching along at 5mph) for a while. Once it clicks though, you're off to the races.

Fundamentally, the biggest feature this game has going for it is that bike steering and rider lean are SEPARATE ACTIONS. You can lean completely independently of where you're steering. Leaning OPPOSITE of your steering direction at very low speeds works just as it does in real life (making it easier to complete tight turns by keeping the bike more upright).

The flow state in this game is real. You'll lose track of time just running laps. Keep in mind, you'll NEED to download mods from the internet, as the game contains basically no content when installed. A quick Google search, and you'll find plenty of high quality OEM bike mods and real tracks that the community has created for/ported to the game.

As for controls, I use an Xbox One controller with some important settings:
Left Stick - Steering
Right Stick - Rider Lean
Left Stick Click (L3) - Downshift
Right Stick Click (R3) - Upshift
Right Bumper - Rear Brake (Lower the gain and play with smoothing settings to not instantly lock up!)
Left Trigger - Front Brake
Right Trigger - Throttle

I basically always have my thumbs on both sticks, hence the L3 and R3 for shifting. I play best in the dynamic first person camera mode, with the "Lock to Bike" view option OFF.

It feels so amazing to drive, I could justify it on that alone

The game is fun. It's as if you took Smash Ultimate but added a couple of advanced mechanics from Melee, and came up with some unique ones. For example, wavedashing is here and is very useful. Also, pressing down->up after a grounded move will instantly cancel the move into a jump, which really gets the party started and allows you to do some nasty combos.

The graphics look fine but generic. Characters are once again very generic, but a few of them are especially fun (including Sivi, who I believe was the starter character).

Play ranked and it'll pair you against bots every other game until you get up near platinum/diamond. It wont tell you that you're playing against one, but it's obvious. I am sure they're hiding this on purpose, as they have profile pictures and reasonably normal usernames. They're all ass though. Bots seem to be quite a sticking point for this developer. All the top reviews are from accounts with about ~70 other reviews and no profile picture, talking about how "Mario Party" is a "better alternative". I believe this is being done on purpose to try to boost interest in the game, and by saying it's "inferior to Mario Party", the developer looks less suspicious without consequence as not too many people will go for an "alternative like Mario Party" if that means going to a different platform like the Swich.

All-in-all, if you really like platform fighting games with advanced movement and combos, it's worth it to try this out and enjoy the novelty of it. I fought the oceans of bots in the "ranked" mode to the point where I was playing people who I had some great matches with.

The bots and the fake reviews leave a bad taste in my mouth though. It strikes me as a soulless profit-focused project that got lucky and found some semblance personality, only to be ruined by the typical Chinese business practices. Just buy Rivals of Aether 2. The Rivals devs are polar opposites to these guys.

Accessible Melee. Probably the best feeling platform fighter I've ever played without practice. Feels and looks like butter, and it has the sauce.

There is no more support for the PC version of the game. We don't get Kombat Pack 2 or the XL upgrade. Don't buy it. Don't support these kinds of companies.
