I don't really like puzzles and this game really tested me with some of the later ones due to how incredibly difficult and complex they can be, I will admit that I had to resort to a guide at some points. HOWEVER, this game is something else, it gets more and more interesting the more you play, and when you think you're finished you're still only at the beginning and things get crazier and crazier, this game is absolutely nuts.

If you like puzzle games you have to try this game out.

Both Void Stranger and ZeroRanger are incredible gems, System Erasure doesn't miss.

This is Mahjong but without the pain, suffering and despair that it usually induces. I only played a little and already had an amazing time with it.

I love the idea and it has a lot of potential but I really dislike the way it's been handled.

Update 1.2 sucked out a lot of the fun from this game, the game is already full of charms that are essentially useless and now a bunch of the ones that *were* useful are nerfed to the ground instead of buffing the crappy ones.

Hard mode is a lazy 2x multiplier to debt which makes deadline 1 even more luck dependent.

EDIT: The game has since been updated, when I test it out I'll change the review.

I wanted to like this but everything is so unbearably slow that I can't enjoy any aspect of it.

This game is absolutely nuts, the challenge here is more in actually being capable of reading the charts and recognising patterns than the inputs themselves, do not approach this with the regular rhythm game mentality or you might be disappointed. The main complaint that I have is that the traps can be really unfair and it kinda ruins the fun for me on impossible difficulty.

The art style is very pretty, the songs for the most part are bangers and while there aren't that many in the base game the community workshop more than makes up for it.

I definitely recommend trying it out if you're interested in a different style of rhythm game.

An overall massive improvement from the first game, this one has solid gameplay, very fun story and LOTS and LOTS of beautiful artwork, the soundtrack is also great, if you liked the first game this is a must play.

The character development is really neat and getting to learn about Shama's past was very interesting.

Sub-characters and engravings feel so good to use, they quickly become the most powerful part of your toolkit and being able to use 5 engravings at once is really cool and also really broken (but it's fun so it doesn't matter).

One thing I have to say is that the translation isn't perfect, it has lots of little issues and typos, sometimes the automatic text goes by unreasonably fast, making it impossible to read. Another issue that I had is that the nightmare difficulty is pretty much meaningless if you use the guardian owls, they're too plentiful and too powerful, I'd suggest not allowing their use (at least during boss fights, I think that being able to use them on stages is fine) on nightmare difficulty, I finished the game with 50 of them in my bag and I never bought one from a merchant, if I did I'd easily be able to have over 100 of them, another possible solution would be to severely limit the maximum amount the played can hold on nightmare difficulty, like 1 or 2 max would work well I think.

I wish it had a CG collection or an artbook (I can imagine that an artbook would be a lot of work but I think a CG Gallery wouldn't be too hard and it'd be a great addition, all the artwork in this game is superb).

As with the first game, this is a very dialogue-heavy game but this one has a pretty good gameplay/dialogue ratio, the pacing gets slower at certain chapters but it usually doesn't last too long before you get back to playing.

It does end in a cliffhanger so until we get another game the story is not over yet and you might feel a little unsatisfied with the ending, I know I did. Even so this is very much worth playing, it's a very unique experience and it deserves more recognition!

This feels more like a prologue and a prototype than anything, MOST of the game is dialogue and worldbuilding, the gameplay is serviceable but I can't call it good, there's only about 2 hours of actual combat and exploration in this, and it's not exactly what I'd call satisfying or interesting. As far as translation goes it's pretty barebones, yeah you can understand pretty much everything but it has typos and a lot of sentences are badly written, it's minor stuff but it's very noticeable.

This game has BEAUTIFUL artwork and a stellar soundtrack, those are by far the best points in this game, in my opinion that alone makes this game worth recommending, seriously, go listen to the soundtrack.

If you're looking for good gameplay this is not worth your time, this is a dialogue-focused experience and it will shove loredumps in your throat and you'll like it (or not).

The story seems interesting, sadly this game ends in a cliff-hanger. It sets up the sequel very well but I'd say it's not really needed in order to enjoy it since it has a very nice recap at the start.
