This game could single handle solve some of the major issues of this century:

Are you a porn addict?
This game will be YOUR porn!

Are you a parent scared that your son or daughter could start doing drugs?
This game will become THEIR drug and you will be able to actually recreate IRL the "ARE YOU WINNING SON?" meme

Are you, like me, feeling sometime lonely and in need of a girlfriend (or a bf)?
This game will actually make you realize that YOU DON'T NEED one because the only thing you need is unlocking EVERYTHING

Do you have issues to solve with your SO?
Play this game with her/him. When you will both see that:
Medics don't revive
Engineer tries to revive you with an RPG
Assault tries to stab tanks with a knife
Recons have no idea what to do so they will camp in a corner of the map
You will both live the full BF experience and hate everyone so much you will forget your issues and live happy together

Or are you like me and you played: BF2, BF2142, BF3, BFBC, BFBC2, BF Vietnam, BF4, BF1?
We are so back fam

The only issue I find for now is that voice acting sometimes is annoying
For the rest...here is your GOTY

Early Access Review
This review is about to change with time.
Edit 1:
Getting the hang of it. Playing as intended this game is tense, diverse and challenging.
I kinda get why there is no tutorial, you need to unrestand the mechanic of the game your way...but when you do you get a lot of satisfaction and repayment.
Aside from all the problem an Early Access can have there is a ton of potential in this game.
Some issues has been already solved with the first patch, now it easier to play with other people as the frame rate is more stable.
On the future updates they will add support for DLSS and FidelityFX.
This game could be harsh at first and punishes you really hard when you make mistakes. Patience, waiting, running, escaping, take the right opportunity, understand the situation...this is what make you progress and what will make you a veteran.
Again, I reccomend this game only if you are willing to accept the issues it has while being an Early Access.

A little introduction.
Guys I don't get it.
Some of us really pushed foward to get this game in early access...and now probably the same people are the ones complaining that the game have bugs...for some the game is "impossible" for others "I did 5 missions without dying"...LOL
On Discord the devs already got some of the complains and replied that they are working on it.
End of introduction.

So the game is in early access and the devs already told us that the game wasn't in its best shape.
The optimization is not good.
With a 3080Ti @ 3440x1440 with all on ultra I get between 30 to 40 FPS.
Some people after modifing the FPS cap (from unlimited to, for example, 120) managed to get an FPS boost...I haven't tried this yet.
Graphically the game is good but there are some glitches here and there.
Intially the game is not so intuitive so a tutorial, even a written one, would be great. But for this you can even take your time to understand it.

AI is not that bright. You can easily avoid some enemies (they keep walking on the same path when they are not fighting) but at the same time, if you get spotted, you can easily find yourself sorrounded by enemies in no time.

Sounds can be much better. I have a decent headset and sometimes I think that an enemy is right next to me when, in reality, it is several meters from me.

For some the water mechanic (you need to collect water to keep your inventory and the water expires even while you aren't playing) is a true pain. Personally I think that if you get the hang of the game you can have enough water to stay away from the game for months (devs actually said that it is possibile to upgrade some stuff to reach this goal).

Buy this if you understand that this game IS NOT at its state of art at the moment and that it is an early access that the community pushed to have.

If you want a polished, perfect game...don't buy it.

I have some mixed feelings about this game.
Don't get me wrong. The game is good with very few issues (unless you rush as I did to get those last achivements) but there is still margin of improvement.

So, Forbidden West starts where Zero Dawn ended.
And even if the story itself manages to give some plot twist it still lack of something. Is not as deep or involving like Zero Dawn.
Where ZD managed to get you hooked even thanks to building up emotions and feelings for Aloy, this story seems a bit more shallow.
I'm not saying it is a bad plot but...it could be much better (if you rush the game in story mode you can easily end this game in one single run).

I've read that some people thinks that this is an Elizabeth's Aloy's character fault. They think she's emotionless and too much dull in some situation.
But lets be honest and let's analyze the lore of this game.
Elizabeth Aloy is a clone of Elizabeth. And if you read, listen and watch carefully the notepads, the recording or the videos you will understand that Elizabeth was a workaholic.
In one recording a friend of Elizabeth tells her something like this: "I don't understand why you love so much this planet but at the same time you hate humanity so much"
So yeah Elizabeth Aloy is no different; if you only play the story and rush to end it you will find yourself a character that is in fact a workaholic: "I need to save the world"/"I don't have time for this"/"If you don't help me I will do it myself"/"I have an objective in my mind and I will not stop until I get it".
If you understand this you will even appreciate more Sylens, especially in the ending of the DLC where he even manage to make Aloy smile.

The gameplay is the same of ZD with some improvements, new weapons, new skills and new tasks to deal with.
And like in ZD, upgrading your weapons, bags and armours is a must if you want to be able to deal with high difficulties.
The adding of diving and flying are for sure a welcome thing even due to the fact that you will have to deal with totally new situation from ZD.
Two of the biggest add in this game are:
The Arena: a place where you will be challenged to eliminate several machines under a specific time to get tokens to buy legendary stuff
The Races: yes, there is a whole quest related to horseracing and it is quite fun.

There really are a lot of skill to learn but those are completely useless if you play the game at an easy or normal difficulty.
On the other hand, playing on ultra hard (I did this on my first run and NOT on New Game+) will force you to "unleash" all the abilities, skills and power of Aloy.
You will even need to understand well how the machines works, attack and so on.
But even so I'm quite sure you will never touch some of those skill.
And at a certain point, even on Ultra Hard, you could potentally become very powerfull.
They are fun to play with it tho.

The map is way bigger than ZD and so finding all the camp fires or flying are a must if you want to explore it fully.

The are new machines and damn they are indeed beautiful to watch. The design is quite amazing and some of them are really a good challenge.
As usual you can scan them with your focus to find weak spots to make your fight easier. For example, being able to disarm a big machine, forcing it to fight only "melee" is almost a must if you play at the higher difficulties.

Grapichally is amazing and I really cannot complain in anything here.
The sceneries, the models, the machines, the effects are really good.

Now about the "love story" because yes in the DLC there is a love story.
Personally I think this is one of the thing that in this game has been rushed so I would not define it a love story but a huge high school crush.
Elizabeth's Aloy just met someone that is mostly like her and had her same experiences so she gets attached.
Thing is that love is not only about this but a more complex and immersive thing and it is something that you build up differently and not just based on the things you have in common. (More realistic examples of this could be found in Mass Effect or Cyberpunk 2077).
Again that is my POV....So that's why in the end you will have three choices...is up to you to decide what is better based on your ideas, thoughts and emotions.

Overall:
Gameplay: 8/10
Graphic: 9/10
Longevity (for the whole game, not just the story): 8/10
Music: 7/10

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD IF YOU HAVE EPILEPSY OR PHOTOSENSITIVE PROBLEMS DON'T EVEN CONSIDER TO BUY THIS GAME!

Bought this game while I was drunk. Managed to reach the first boss in 30 minutes in hard mode.
Played sober. Aftrer 4 hours I'm unable to reach floor 5.

10/10 would buy this game again to manage my beer addiction.

Aside from this the game si fun, I would reccomend this as a "side" game while you are playing something of more complex or immersive and you get a bit tired of it.
This game has the classic "story" of "kill them all to save the princess" (I'm not joking).
It is colorful as ♥♥♥♥ and I really love and enjoy the graphic with the note that if you want to enjoy the graphic you will need to play on easy mode or timeless mode.
If you are playing normal or hard you will not have time to look around...because yes, in this game you don't have health but you have 10 seconds to live. You can gain seconds by killing enemies so you have to move and kill fast.

This game is really simple and peculiar in its way. Don't expect a classic boomer shooter. This is even more simplier than that and it resembles the old school arcarde games of the 90s with the addition of some perks to choose between "floors" (levels) and bosses every 10 floors.

So in few words:
Do you like colorful frenetic games where you play against time ad you don't have to think at all but only react like a spring during an hardcore rally?
This game is for you.

Do you want a game where you have a meaningful story, a lot of immersion and skills to learn?
This don't have any of this.

Gonna grab a beer.

BUY THIS GAME AND SERVE JUSTICE YOU FILTHY SCUM...UNLESS YOU WANT...TROUBLE

Let's not run around too much here....the trailer says it all "if you're a fan of RoboCop you'll find a lot to love in Rogue City"
And yes that is indeed true.

If you are into frenetic FPS, full of speed and movements, quick thinking, weapons like there is no tomorrow and hordes of enemies that will never end...this is NOT the game for you.
If you are looking for a game that will throw you back in the 80s/90s, and tries to simulate a bit those old arcade shooter games with a gun...well...this is for you.
Some jokes for most of you nowdays kids will sounds lame but for us old kids those were the **** back in the days and hell we loved Robo.

The story runs mostly around a "new guy" in town that causes a lot of trouble, the building of Delta City, corruption, friendship, the "are machines human being?" topic, giving tickets, talking to old ladies and saving cats.
During the game you will have the possibility to talk with people and, based on your choices, the endgame will change slightly based on your moral point of view.

The gameplay is quite linear. Yes you have secondary objectives, secrets and lore to find, some collectibles that will give you bonus points at the end of the mission and so on but the game is really linear.
This FPS really reminds me of some arcade games due to the fact that RoboCop moves slow but when you aim all the enemies will appear on your screen.
The two things togheter makes a well balanced gameplay mostly because RoboCop, even if it is really strong and has a good endurance, as said, is not fast, cannot jump or dash (or at least at the beginning) so you will need to understand the position of the enemies, take cover and then take your action.
And due to the fact that RoboCop is really strong: 1. fall damage is not a problem for you 2. shoot a biker, grab his motorbike and throw it at another biker is a thing you will love to do 3. you can do the same thing with dumpster...do I need to say anything else?

Animations are quite "rigid" but the models aren't bad at all and actually RoboCop is amazingly made, one of the best I've ever seen.
Graphically is good but don't expect something of breath taking. And most of all don't expect something that, maxed out, will always run at 60 FPS. The game sometimes dropped around 40FPS in some situations for me (Just note that I played at 3440x1440 and I didn't activate DLSS) but personally I really don't care, if the game is smooth enough, is playable for me and I don't care really.

If you are an experience player this game will be not that hard even at its extreme difficulty. Even if, some situations, will need a bit of planning or being able to find a cover real quick.

There is a skill tree that will give you some bonus like: more damage, more armour, being able to hack stuff or repair them, find more clues and so on...but none of them are actually fundamental for the endgame.
You can mod Auto-9 in several ways with specific PCBs that you can find around some missions. And you can mod those PCBs to give special perks to Auto-9 (like never reload your Auto-9 again or super piercing single shot that can one kill almost everyone)

Overall:
Gameplay: 8/10
Sounds: 8/10
Longevity 7/10
Graphic: 9/10

Ok first of all the important things:
If you are looking for an amazing game to play on the Steam Deck this is it! On some scenes this game is able to run at the max possible FPS your deck can handle. No stutters, no drops below 40, no issues, no problems to make the game run, peaks of 60/90 FPS. Amazing experience and a real joy to play on a handled device.

Ok so:
In this game you play as Alan Wake a guy that has totally lost his mind after getting on holidays in a cottage with his wife writer.
During your holidays with your wife something strange starts to happen and the last grain of sanity in your mind is fighting for your own life trying to not fall deeper into darkness. you have to fight an unknown enemy to save your loved one at all cost.
Your enemies will be some strange creatures filled with hate and darkness that you can defeat only by using your flashlight it is all in your freaking head you dumbass and you are actually fighting to survive, free your wife and reconnect with the real world
If you look carefully at the story it doesn't make sense at all but impressively is truly enjoyable Actually the story HAS A LOT OF sense because you are totally running mad on the floor of the cottage while graping yourself in every bit of sanity and memory you have to survive and reach back to reality

The game itself is linear, even if some scenes are quite big enough to explore to find collectibles or even some easter eggs.
Even on nightmare mode this game could be easily handled if you have enough experience with the mechanics of the game.
There is a good mix of action, exploration and narration that makes the game really enjoyable.
But if you are looking for a pure action game this is not the case and you will probably get bored or annoyed by it.
Alan is quite the "normal" guy; even if he's able to use some weapons he's not a soldier so you will find yourself escaping or dodging enemies a lot.

Some achivements in this game are a pain to get. At least you have to end the game twice (nightmare mode is unlocked only after finishing the game on normal). If you are like me (you like to explore a lot) probably in your first run you will be able to get almost every possible collectible (they aren't that hard to find but you need to have the patience to look around).
For some achivement you will literally need to speed run in some areas...nothing of impossible but not everyone's cup of tea.

Graphically you can feel the age of the game but on the SD, all those shadows and lights effects, are a pleasure to see.

I find the soundtrack of this game really interesting going from orchestra to rock in no time in some parts.

You don't have a lot of weapons in this game but remember once again...Alan is a normal guy, not a soldier!

Overall:
Graphic 8/10
Gameplay 8/10
Music 8/10
Longevity 8/10

AH!
THE NOSTALGIA!
This game acutally reminds me DooM, Hexen, Heretic, Blood, Quake!
As a simple game made mostly by one person is really impressing.

The game itself is pretty linear and you can get some clue about the story by reading all the notes around the map.
Don't expect an immersive adventure or a long game...this is not the case.
But if you are looking for something that will take you back to 25/30 years ago, with a lovely gameplay, some great fun, an amazing well made retrò graphic and indeed some IMPRESSIVE soundtracks this is for you!

A good choice of weapons that you can upgrade and a nice set of enemies.
The game itself is not that hard even if played on "Extreme"

When you finish the story and you get all the achivements (again even this one is not that hard) you can play some "survival" mode: A set of maps with waves and waves of enemies to defeat before the times end.

Runs amazingly on Steam Deck -both LCD and OLED at max FPS- but I played it on PC due to my lack of experience in playing FPS with analogs (old school guy here, mouse and keyboard ftw...but I'm willing to improve with analogs so I will give it some rounds on the SD!)

Replayability is NOT its stronger point. Once you have finished the story, yes, you can make another rounds of two to find all the secrets but the game it is what it is (finished the game in a couple of hours on easy mode...took me three days to finish it on Extreme).

But again, for the price and the retrò experience this game is totally worth it.

In few words: *insert monke meme here* Chapter two...where?

So let's be honest here...
Yes this game was quite controversial at its launch due to its poor optimization and yes I get all the hate and rage about it.
I get it that for some people is really hard to spend something between 60 to 90€ to get a game and be unable to enjoy it properly.
From my personal experience the game ran fine between 40 to 70 FPS depending on the area from day 1....but I really don't get why in modern days all the games MUST be 60FPS...probaby I grown up with a 386 playing Prince of Persia (the original one) so for me if a game is smooth enough I enjoy it.
No I'm not defending EA or anything, it is simply my POV.

Anyway after some patches the game is quite better and it runs smoother. (there are still some issues with the FPS expecially if you keep browsers open in the background or you do too many alt+tab)
A friend of mine is playing it on an AMD 6500 XT and he's having a blast anyway running most thing at medium.
Playing with FidelityFX can help a lot in several cases.

So long story short let's talk about the game.
Jedi Survivor simply start quite some years after the story of Fallen Order.
Initially you will be alone with only BD-1 later on the game you will have a full crew with new and old friends.
In some areas some of those friends will join you in the battle and you will be able to give them commands to help you during your fights.

The gameplay itself is quite similar to Fallen Order...they added more fighting styles, a new set of passive perks and a lot of new active skills to use during fight.
For the rest, you have several planets to explore, and you will be able to access to certain areas only after acquiring some special abilities or tools.
There is a lot of loot to find and a lot of lore, and some of it will spawn only after finishing the game.
There are even a lot of people to talk to and some quite funny dialogues and situations.
The savegame works mostly like DarkSouls, you will need to find "meditation spots" to save your game, upgrade your skills and recover health. But be aware that everytime you do this enemies will spawn again.
Sometimes those spots are singular for big areas so you will need to unlock shortcuts to get there easily skipping fights and enemies.

They added different minigames (bounty hounters, hologram battles, fishing...well kinda...and other stuff) that helps the longevity of the game itself.
This is useful because the story itself is not that long and, if played at the easiest difficulty, you will finish this game in few hours.
I played the game at the hardest difficulty and HOLY CRAP I had a lot of fun. The duels are really challenging and you will really need to understand and use well your skills.
After finishing the game you will unlock New Game + where they added some stuff to make the game more interesting (there will be even a perk that will almost turn the game into "hardcore" mode...one hit you will kill or die).

Graphically...well...it is indeed amazing. It isn't perfect but a good step ahead from Fallen Order.
Effects and models are really well made and some areas are a real joy for the eyes.

I really enjoyed the story, I will not say anything to not spoil anything but yes...it is indeed good.

Customization is really fun. The game will let you customize your lightsabre, your apparel, your gun (yes you will have a gun) and indeed BD-1.
You will be able to find all this stuff inside several chests that you can discover in hidden areas of the map.

Did you play Fallen Order?
Well, this game will be a step ahead from it and the gameplay and the story will not turn you down.

Are you new to Star Wars?
Then play Fallen Order first or the game will be hard to understand. A colleague of mine, totally new to SW is playing it on his PS5 and he's loving it so far.

Grab this game if:
- You like adventure action games
- You like duels with bosses, mini-bosses, side-bosses
- You like customization and exploration
- You are a Star Wars fan, if you are new to it play Fallen Order first

Don't grab this game if:
- You like complex RPG. Yes there are several skills tree but there is nothing special about it. You cannot create for example a tank or a dps.
- You like games that are 500 hours long. You will get bored from it after a while. Yes the excitement of using a lightsabre is always there but after a while all this disappears and when you have explored all the worlds and did all the mini-games there is nothing left from it.
- You expect a Dark Souls game...even if it there is "something" similar is quite far from DS
