From the move from AM4 to AM5 and Ryzen 5 5600X to Ryzen 9 7900, I was expecting increased productivity, but not so much in regards to gaming and even less in regards to Synthetic benchmarks, but it surprised me. (Also from the general lack of results with this combo. It's clearly not a preferred gaming platform). Productivity is up, build times in Visual Studio including powering up the Android Simulator in less than 30 seconds. Also some games, especially POE2 really like all the cores and during the time of the POE2 EA I've never had issues with performance.

Best 3DMark (demo) benchmark scores in the World with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 SUPER and AMD Ryzen 9 7900 in
- Steel Nomad DX12
- FireStrike
- TimeSpy
- Night Raid

LOL. It's total misinformation of course, because there is only like a handful of comparable data from just as few other users - maybe 20. Well, my scores are nonetheless TOP of the world for this combo.

Got a new graphics card and it was a long time coming and after a long scrutiny with AMD's counter offer on the table I really had my doubts, but in the end I went with my business sense and picked the RTX 5060 Ti 16GB because of AI superiority, because I am not quite as much of a gamer as I used to be. Without the AI consideration on the table I would have picked the AMD RX 9060 XT instead, maybe, well, AMD really impressed me in the late nineties with the K6 and Thunderbird and in the mid zeros with the AMD Radeon HD 3870 and HD 4850, but they took a wrong turn with the HD 5000 and started trailing NVidia prices too much instead of being an actual competitor.

Put all the components of my previous AM4 system together with a few additions (PSU, CASE) and made a new PC.

The Aerocool Cylon case has three suggested uses: ATX/Micro-ATX/ITX, but it's really MOSTLY micro. They thought about everything, except how to fit an ATX board inside with cables and still have access to disk trays. With an ATX Mainboard like the MSI X570 Gaming Plus it gets really tight inside and those two disk trays that I don't use, well, they are completely useless now. It was quite a puzzle.

When my ChiefTech PSU spiraled and squished my Sabertooth and proved to me how completely unreliable those protective labels are I switched to AMD's new Ryzen line back in early 2018.

*: Even though the RTX is a much more powerful card than the GTX 1650 Super, I kind of like that the GTX is still one of the most powerful 100W cards and combined with Ryzen 5 x600 makes a very powerful Low-W build. Unfortunately it's kind of useless, even for 1080p gaming. Gah!

**: I have been cloning discs since 2002, but when faced with more than 7 hours estimated time of cloning the mechanical Seagate 2TB to Samsung Pro 2TB I lost my nerve and messed it up by partially copying folders from disc to disc until I realized that all the folder dates got updated as well - I like posterity and the idea of having old folders with new dates completely mess up my chronosphere. I finally decided to shrink and move the partitions of the rest and move it to a 1TB SSD instead.

The best thing about Mac Mini is that you can Windows (10/11) Pro on it!!

The Mac Mini M1 is surprisingly small and useful, even more so with Arm-based Windows 11 Pro running in Parallels Desktop. And the best is that it's absolutely useless for gaming thus improving efficiency, because, well, it's useless for anything else than work and development. If only it was as fast and powerful as my Ryzen 9 7900 (that totally overpower it contrary to the results of cherry-picked Apple benchmarks), but it's still a hell of a lot better than my venerable Noise-based, erm I mean Intel-based Core i7 MacBook Pro 2011.

Compiling and building an IPA for distribution takes upwards to 15 minutes plus additional time for validating and distribution which is more than a 1000% slower than PC for Android. Only highlight is that Apple Connect is much nicer to work with than the messy Google Play Console.
