I actually had to dump the transparency to get it to where it is now, which is why it took so long to get it to where it needed to be. Removing the TM in the image was the worst of it which had to be done ( eXfire isn't trademarked, so I couldn't legally use the image as you sent it to me, otherwise I could have probably just put a white background behind it & be done with it).
まりさ 15 Jun, 2019 @ 1:25pm
Okay. Made it intentionally as transparent for easy editing.
WonderGamer 15 Jun, 2019 @ 12:15pm
Now we have an image for the group. I took the image that Kaguya sent me & spent at least a couple hours editing it, the result is as you see.
WonderGamer 14 Jun, 2019 @ 11:50pm
I see you sent something over the messenger, however having an issue getting the full size to open, I'll try the web version of the messenger or the Android version to see if it works any better...
WonderGamer 14 Jun, 2019 @ 11:46pm
It's a closed group, invite-only, don't see that the lack of group avatar is a big issue, but I can make something temporary if people really want it to have one, just won't be the quality of what Felix had for us back in the day...
まりさ 14 Jun, 2019 @ 8:02pm
We still don't have avatar here. I guess, i'm going to make one temporary.

I previously stated that Playfire had been shut down & moved to GMG, looks like the tracking data got moved to your GMG profile & gives further details about your recent (and overall top games) gaming history. Of course you'll get about the same thing from your Steam profile, but the GMG profile is more in depth on giving more information than your Steam profile is, I'm surprised it still has all that time from Killing Floor years ago... Not sure if it has the capability to track time in games not on Steam or GMG, but I'll look to see if there's a client for it (used to be the Playfire client), it might be possible to add tracking/launching of games not on the Steam/GMG networks
WonderGamer 16 Sep, 2017 @ 12:13pm
Seems even Playfire got shut down (not entirely, it got moved to GreenManGaming; it was pretty much the client used for installing games purchased over GMG)... Seems Playfire still works for downloading games, but most functions have been cut off that the original site had...
WonderGamer 16 Sep, 2017 @ 12:09pm
Ah... So you're looking primarily for game tracking. Not sure what to say in regards to that, it was never one of my major functions in using them (, I used them mainly for screenshots, videos & broadcasts (the last 2 are covered by OBS [obsproject.com], I may broadcast to Steam in rare cases). I think I heard WhosGamingNow might have had that function, maybe even Playfire, but I haven't actually dug into them to see what they actually have (Playfire does have achievement/trophy tracking, but not too sure about time tracking)...
Narim 16 Sep, 2017 @ 11:49am
Well, I understand both Xfire and Raptr that it is impossible to remain profitable using only website ads. On the other hand, I would mind paying mothly/yearly fee for a well done game tracking service like Xfire was.

Xfire was a great part of my childhood and early adulthood, and even since I was forced to swithc to Raptr I noticed slow decline in my gaming passion (I'm still very active in World of Warcraft, feel free to add me Narim#2951).

Steam is still just a tool to me, not a platform I would fully engage in. But that might change, yes.
WonderGamer 16 Sep, 2017 @ 11:31am
Steam seems to be the most stable of these systems, might be better to just stick with the most likely to stay alive & actually has the funds to keep the system running without having to rely on sponsors to stay alive...

I do understand Origin would be another stable pick (as far as staying alive is concerned), but they have some of the same compatibility issues of our old version of Xfire, so I wouldn't exactly suggest Origin over Steam, but it is another alternative that might be worth trying if you don't particularly want to stick with Steam for the same functions.

As far as I know, I don't believe Uplay has the ability to import games that are not purchased (or activated) through their platform yet...
Ravendwyr 16 Sep, 2017 @ 10:33am
Damn. RIP Raptr. Now I'm going to need to find another alternative...
Narim 16 Sep, 2017 @ 9:35am
Howdy lads, long tim no see!
It's appeard that Raptr is going down too: http://about.raptr.com/goodbye-raptr/
Sad to hear about that, but nothing beats good ol' Xfire (4 life!)
WonderGamer 4 Jun, 2016 @ 12:21pm
I would much rather edit that image that Felix gave us (eXfire, rather than Xfire Game Masters) & use that rather than the official Xfire logo, but I don't think I have it anymore, so he'd have to see if he has a backup that could have a small edit made to it. Hold onto your t-shirts, they might become collector's items one day...
WonderGamer 4 Jun, 2016 @ 12:19pm
This Group is private, so they wouldn't even know about the team unless they were invited. I invited Ben some time ago, but he never accepted (still being a part of the Xfire tournament platform, but a different position). I stopped using Xfire some time after the old message stopped working; the new messenger had it's support cut on June 27th, 2015. Looks like Xfire died April, 30th, 2016 according to Wikipedia [en.wikipedia.org].
DAOWAce 4 Jun, 2016 @ 3:26am
Bang.
Narim 4 Jun, 2016 @ 2:00am
http://xfire.com/ - huh, it seems like it's over for real :( Anyway, Xfire died for me the day they turned off their profile pages.
Peca 4 Jun, 2016 @ 1:56am
Would be nice to give some Xfire logo instead of uknown "?" guild picture as default one. Depends if we have rights for using it? I head as even Xfire as Tournament platform died. When it happened?
WonderGamer 1 Mar, 2016 @ 11:37am
Well yeah... We lost our place of discussion, so I created this group so our (former-)volunteers could still talk with each other. At first it was just through the chatroom on the Steam messenger, later I added forums (discussions on Steam), which seems nobody has really bothered to make use of (except for maybe Bugya, who helped me determine that the permissions were correct & has been following the giveaway thread I created in there). I don't intend on taking this down, so if you don't want to be a part of it, then you can leave at any time. :rshocked:
DAOWAce 24 Feb, 2016 @ 2:18pm
Oh hey, this still exists.
WonderGamer 18 Dec, 2015 @ 2:54pm
No worries. At least friend invites don't expire. I've been on there a lot lately; first downloading all my games I didn't already have on Steam (or has included DLC that I don't have on Steam) & currently am moving all wallpapers & soundtracks over to different folders on my hard drive. BTW: I am on Steam most of the time, just normally in offline mode.
Ravendwyr 18 Dec, 2015 @ 11:07am
@WonderGamer
I got it and just accepted it. I just got home from work, so sorry about the delay.
WonderGamer 18 Dec, 2015 @ 4:41am
@Ethan,
Sent you a friend invite on GOG Galaxy , not sure if it ever went through. Says "PENDING INVITATION", so I guess it's just waiting for a response. I don't do much with GOG either, but I purchased a number of games over GOG rather than Steam back during the time I was boycotting Steam for a year as well as now if Steam doesn't have a significant sale & I can't find a purchase for a Steam version anywhere else (don't really trust purchasing from Steam directly after refusing to refund that purchase of Fray after it was already abandonware). :1questberserk:
WonderGamer 15 Dec, 2015 @ 12:30pm
K. I'll look you up. I have a thread where you can post your other forms of contact also if you're interested: http://eo.steamhost.cc/steamcommunity_com/groups/xfgm/discussions/1/615086038665121318/
Ravendwyr 15 Dec, 2015 @ 12:16pm
I have Galaxy but not used it much recently. If you're interested, I am EthanNoble there.
WonderGamer 12 Dec, 2015 @ 3:26pm
Curious if anybody uses GOG Galaxy? Just recently started using it, trying to get all of my GOG games installed through it (going to take a while with the amount of games I have on my account). Would be nice to have some friends on it seeing as it appears it added a chat app... :skyesad:
WonderGamer 9 Dec, 2015 @ 12:35pm
Well importing time won't be an option since profiles can't be accessed from the old community pages on Xfire anymore (unless they moved those over to the tournament site, which I understand game hours were no longer a concern of Xfire's when I got terminated, so I doubt that will be the case). Manual tracking I couldn't say in the case of Overwolf , however I understand Raptr had it (regardless of the fact that Raptr had hour importation in the past, it won't be an option now because of the previously mentioned). :Skelleton::drop::summerghost:
Ravendwyr 9 Dec, 2015 @ 12:03pm
If/when Overwolf supports manual tracking or importing from Xfire/Raptr I will consider switching. :)
WonderGamer 2 Dec, 2015 @ 10:48am
For anybody looking for replacement for Xfire, I suggest you look at Overwolf . A little inside information, the original Head of Xfire is a consultant for them. :emofdr:
WonderGamer 22 Jul, 2015 @ 12:56pm
Oh ok, I have heard of it. Threw me off with the short version. :-P
Felix Leonhart 22 Jul, 2015 @ 1:56am
http://howlongtobeat.com/ completely manual tracking but still a great site
WonderGamer 21 Jul, 2015 @ 4:33pm
HLTB? Never heard of it...
Felix Leonhart 21 Jul, 2015 @ 4:15pm
oh well, R.I.P. xfire. Amen.
Felix Leonhart 21 Jul, 2015 @ 4:15pm
I just pray HLTB will be alive for at least few years
Felix Leonhart 21 Jul, 2015 @ 4:14pm
raptr is also going down the hill fast.... such a harsh world....
Felix Leonhart 21 Jul, 2015 @ 4:13pm
i'ma slowpoke.... just noticed that social xfire was shut down....
Marcchell0 17 Jun, 2015 @ 2:21pm
next up the tournament platform just wait for it XD

Untouchable855 10 Jun, 2015 @ 8:21am
xfire is over so sad
WonderGamer 6 Jun, 2015 @ 11:47pm
Anybody who has games on Desura, better start downloading the individual installers... Father-company for Desura filed for bankruptcy, so I'm expecting the Desura client isn't going to be useful for much longer...
WonderGamer 4 Jun, 2015 @ 3:16am
Maybe; maybe not. Depends on whether the game has any replay value. Roguelikes will have the edge in that, however simple platformers, not so much.
Felix Leonhart 4 Jun, 2015 @ 2:55am
bad thing about this refund program is that it will kill short games
WonderGamer 3 Jun, 2015 @ 6:39pm
I've started a contact list for various sites in the forums for this Group like we had on the GSM before it was wiped; might as well put some use to the forums here:

http://eo.steamhost.cc/steamcommunity_com/groups/xfgm/discussions/1/615086038665121318/
WonderGamer 3 Jun, 2015 @ 2:41pm
Either they are trying to keep up with other companies that have a higher rep than them because they offer these guarantees (i.e. GOG, Origin) or they got contacted by the law after I reported them for violation of consumer laws to the Internet Crimes division of the FBI. I still don't trust it, not from vALVE...
Marcchell0 3 Jun, 2015 @ 9:57am
http://eo.steamhost.cc/steam_refunds

wait .. .wait are they learning? after all these years? Why now?
Felix Leonhart 28 Apr, 2015 @ 2:25am
raptr is also starting to get ♥♥♥♥♥♥, they dropped psn support cause they don't have time for it (busy with esport streaming) -_-

last thing that looks alive and kicking is howlongtobeat, at least it's not changing priorities.
WonderGamer 26 Apr, 2015 @ 1:06pm
Also for those who were avid users of GSM Chat, there is a chatroom feature for Groups, so you can use that as a substitute now that that the GSM sub-domain has been shut down. You can access this chatroom feature from the Groups tab of your Steam friends list.
WonderGamer 26 Apr, 2015 @ 12:57pm
I'm going to start adding games to the Group that we had played together as a team. I will be allowing suggestions from former team-members for other games to add to the Group; please only suggest games that you have played together with other team-members (once we have enough suggestions for the same game, I will add them to the Group).
Marcchell0 25 Apr, 2015 @ 7:12am
its not that it wasnt in the air.... the social site was down for 3 months... :P

All is well , they will notice a decline in users...
They realy think Esports guys want to use such an immature platform with such low prizepools...

SILLY!
WonderGamer 24 Apr, 2015 @ 5:19pm
I think we would have been better if we didn't get the axe the way we did... Not only did the last update we were working on for like 3 months get dropped like a 10-pound bag of ♥♥♥♥, I'm stuck with trying to find a new job so I can pay my bills... >.<
Felix Leonhart 21 Apr, 2015 @ 6:27am
Well ♥♥♥♥♥♥, cause it was russian army xD How are you guys?
