Is this group still active? I just got into chivalry but I've played it before when It came out. I hope I'm not too late. Looking for an active group to play with and git gud.

well, I mean, Broadsword is much faster than 1h longsword. I also recommend the broadsword over Norse sword vs maa. Some people don't know that the stabs on the broadsword are actually the same speed as the stabs on the Norse...except the B-sword obviously has greater reach. As far as the maa staying out of range: He'll have to come into range at some point if he wants to kill you ^.^ This is where the anticpation comes in.

well if the broad is good at countering maa why is my 1h longsword not cutting it???? i must be doing something wrong. I always play patient, wait for the dodge and stab along the blocks, but usually a good broad playing ma will stay just out of my range...

Anticipate to get hit trades and be really aware of your opponent's striking distance. Also, feints can be especially useful vs MaA's, but careful, a good maa doesn't give a ♥♥♥♥ about your feint, they plan on spamming regardless, so it's best to just go for hit trades. Claymore, SoW, broadsword and brandistock are a few of the best weapons for countering maa's, from my experience at least. Also, the messer. It's slash can 1 shot MaA with a headshot :)

how do you deal with dodge spammy MAA with a 2h knight? 1h doesnt seem to be cutting it for me.

Yes, and thank you for joining. There are several ways to help out. First off, you're not required to do anything; theirs no quota of players you must help, lol. However, one way you can help is by inviting players that you observe struggling in-game to join this group. Since this group is addressing a very general issue, one good method would be to invite the new player(s) to play in pub games with you. You may also invite them to the "Chivalry Official Training Server"...I will post the info later. Or, you can invite them to a duel server like int duels to teach them a few basics, however trainers will have admin to the Chivalry training server, it's probably a better choice.
