Who are we?

Welcome to Task Force Unity!

We're a semi-realism co-op unit that focuses on the experience of authentic combat without the fluff of obstacles such as ranks, and we use a very basic, simple command structure that takes into account the actual in-game experience of an individual.

We like to play in a realistic environment, what I mean by that is when we do conduct an operation or mission we hold ourselves to a standard of professionalism which enhances the experience for all involved.

We tend to drift around in terms of equipment and primary nationalities, everywhere from operating as standard American Armed Forces, to British, Australian, and German armed forces, this is to give us more diversity in our experience instead of sticking to a single military.

Hey everyone, Ky here, as usual, who else post's announcements on Steam?

As you probably figured from the headline, something's wrong.
I'm going to be honest and say I'm in a bad spot right now, a recurring theme it seems, and I'm sure there's a couple of you that are rolling your eyes right now and making guesses as to when I'll reappear.

Truth is, it's not even about TF-U anymore, that ship sunk months ago, I've been thinking maybe things would go back to normal if I kept trying hard enough, but honestly that was a dumb lie to myself.

Real life has caught up with me, I find myself sad more often than not, and any attempts to dig myself out of this hole I've dug myself fall flat.

However, as disappointed as I am with myself and my failures, I still take pride in getting back up as many times as I did, my greatest achievement has been U-SOG and TF-U, even if it didn't blossom into anything 'substantial' I'd like to think I've given you all some fond memories to look back on.

That was the original goal of it, and at least I managed that.

Anyway, I'm not going to be doing anything with the clan at any point in the future, I've finally given in and decided to end that struggle.

What I do want is for you guy's to stick with eachother, every one of you is an amazing individual, I've learnt a lot from every one of you, and you've built strong friendships with eachother.

Take care of yourselves, I'll be around, just got to sort myself out.

Hi all (or whoever still reads these things),

As per Kyan's request, I'd like to ask everyone to pitch your suggestions for what new elements we can add to missions to make them more enjoyable. The hope is to branch out and do more varied mission types than just infantry, so try to avoid infantry-centered suggestions unless you think it would be something unique and new for us.

Additionally, we need to know what the group consensus is regarding overall mission style: do you enjoy Kyan's "story-driven" mission-by-mission campaigns or the persistent ALiVE-style missions? Would you prefer a combination of the two? Let us know.

Detailed suggestions for scenarios that have some backstory but are not too complex to assemble/require too many mods are highly appreciated and encouraged.

Lastly, I want to let everyone know that Kyan has heard your lamentations about the Takistan map, and will be making moves to transition away from it. To do so, he needs your suggestions for scenarios, so let your ideas flow freely and don't hesitate to pitch something to him or to me.

P.S. Some of you are probably wondering why I'm the one writing this when I don't even play ArmA anymore. Should we start some kind of new mission campaign, I'll likely give it a try despite my own opinions on ArmA in general.
