am I has to work during light day?!
:-p
Please think about it...
Now can somebody please kill those science vessels?
I've seen people in Corvettes, the lightest ship, pick holes in dreadnoughts until destroying them, and taken down some Dreadnoughts while using my Frigate.
It all depends on your play style. If you like to hit fast, but not necessarily hard, go for a Corvette or Frigate. You have a good chance of outrunning bigger ships before they can damage you.
Like to hit hard, and with decent speed? A Destroyer might suit you. I'm currently leveling mine, and I can say, the Destroyer is damn good at what it does.
Want something with decent armour and weapons? Go for the Cruiser. Never used it myself, but with full armour upgrades on those things, those ships are about 99% flying armour. It takes a lot to put them down.
Dreadnought is for more of a support role, bolstering nearby allied ships, and giving a good account with the two large turrets on the front, but it is slow, and not as well armoured as the cruiser.
