Ubuntu seems to be the best for gaming so far...

For @~// \/\/@r|)3/\/ //~ \m/ [MySt]:

RHEL is NOT for Games, better option is openSUSE, Mandriva, Ubuntu and Arch.

I play games in openSUSE (the Indie Bundle) and I can many games with wine. In LInux Nvidia is the best.

I just wish there was a linux built exclusively for gamers that would futher optimize Wine for games and not every try to be a jack of all trades. Would make everything soooo much easier... or you know... companies actually supporting Linux again.

Well either with Nvidia or ATI, let's admit it's not really easy to play games with Wine. But winetricks script is a real help though.

Problem is I have owned nvidia cads before and they have always just caused problems for me and are very very unstable hardware wise. I've had two have fans die within 2 months and another one that was so crappy it would randomly cause a PC reboot because the PCI-e connector was faulty and would cause a mainboard short... and I know it's not me, I build hundreds of PCs a year for clients... the ones I put ATI/AMD cards in I get very few issues but every single nvidia buidl I have done ends up getting a call back for tech support within 4 months with GPU problems.

For @Mystic.

Maybe.... for linux the best option is Nvidia.

I love linux, but even with the help of SGOL I can't get many games to be playable... I do wonder if it's because I'm using an AMD 6850
