Splatoon has made an impact on me. Around the time it was coming out, I was getting tired of all of the generic military shooters that had been rolling out, especially with Call of Duty pushing further and further into futuristic territory. I was falling out of the shooter genre. Then Splatoon came out and reinvigorated my inner shooter fan. Not only was it a complete breath of fresh air for me, but it also changed my perspective on how I play games on Nintendo hardware. Before, I never bothered with playing games online on Nintendo hardware because I felt the online wasn't as good as the other consoles. Then Splatoon came out and changed that. It is definitely one of my favorite shooters out there and it is my favorite title of 2015. My hype for the sequel is through the roof and I'll be spending tons of hours on it when it comes out.
