Hello there im new to arma just got demo so i can multiplayer, can i get the sniper right away or do i need to rank up for it?

I killed the vent server. No one plays. No one wants to play.

The Vent server seems to be dead when I casually check at random intervals. What are the usual times for people?

I own just plain old ARMA 2 but I will be getting OA pretty soon so I can run combined ops

I just jumped on and noticed that the Warfare BE mission is the previous version, could the admin update it to the latest 2.067? http://dev-heaven.net/attachments/download/10557/WarfareV2_067LiteCO.zip

If anyone hasn't played Warfare BE but is interested in it. It's like Capture The Island. Games can take a little while to get going and last quite some time if you're not focused on finishing (lots of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ around can occur). If you'd like to know more just ask me and I'll explain the basics of gameplay.

I should be on from 2 o'clock GMT on saturday. That is, if my main computer stops acting up after a power outage I had yesterday. On the topic of voice-comms I see nothing wrong with the in-game radio chat but many people dont like it so we shall just have to see what the general consensus of opinion is.

Well ingame voice comms works simular, you can pick to either transmit to everyone/your side/your squad/your commander/people in your vehicle

With regards to mumble, It would be ideal to get the multiple voice channel plugin for it, (however I forget the names) for radio channels in game so that evrryone is not in one giant channel but different squads like in game.

I'm always down for some coop.

I'm up for some co-op, Also I've got a mumble voice comms server with 8 slots that comes with my Minecraft hosting if you want to use that for voice comms.

@Khal: Okay the Combined-Arms versions of Warfare BE are now up on the server for Chernarus, Takistan & Zargabad.

In other news: if there is enough demand for it; I have learnt that the latest version ACE 2 can easily be updated onto the server and kept up to date.

More news: The servers subscription runs out on the 10th so a brief downtime may be experienced while it is renewed.

And a Question: Who will be free for some possible co-op action at the weekend, just want to see if enough are interested. (This will be Warfare BE and/or some custom missions.)

@ice.and.fire: The game is pretty good even with vanilla content, check armaholic.com if you want to look at the different mods.

At the moment i'm running the server with no mods, but I would recomend the 'Instant view distance' mod as the servers view distance is capped at 1000m. This handy mod allows you to change the view distance on the fly without going into options, it also counteracts the 1000m view cap of the server.

I got a Ping around 50m/s, any chance of sticking Warfare BE on there? ;) by the way guys, Host your own multiplayer LAN game and try Warfare Benny Edition on your own if you want to see what it's like.

Just checked, put 'Reddit' the search filter and it came up top, (and only) on the list. Oh and the server is ArmA 2 - Combined Ops of course.
