For Civ V, On the opening screen, click multiplayer. Then whoever is hosting clicks "host game" and click "host private game" on the next screen (unless you want other weirdos playing). Then set it all up (map, # of players, etc) and go to the next screen. At the bottom, it says "invite." If you have a Mac you need to turn on universal access.

So who wants to play this weekend? Max, Ish and I already have a game going, but I think I can add people to it; you'll just be assigned to one of the AI's civs. We're only 84 moves in.
