some of my buildings disappeared i was planig a big base marked and put up dino gates was not fenced in yet now its all gone is there a limit to bases

Hey Bear House, the Ark dev's unexpectedly pushed out a breaking change update that prevents people from joining the server yesterday. Whenever they spring these updates on us, we have to manually update the server or else people cannot join it. I'm updating the server now, it should be back up in a few minutes. This is part of the reason that we are working on getting an auto-update solution in place, but due to bugs with our hosting provider, that is proving to be difficult. If you guys ever notice that you can't join the server, this is the most likely cause - a breaking update got pushed out that requires all private servers to update on their end. I'll give you my contact info so that if you notice this ever happens again, and you can't join the server, you can contact me, and I'll get it sorted out quickly. Thanks!

Hey, I was just wondering what is up with the server? It has been down most of yesterday and today, or just not showing up..

I've added a page in discussions that has the Reboot schedule.

I hope that eventually I can use RCON tools to do this but RCON tools seem to have a bad habit of not staying connected to the server, especially over a reboot. I will spend some more time today seeing if there is a script I can get that both allerts at certain times during the day and automates reconnecting to the server. What we have done to address the frequent reboots is shorten the auto-save frequency to every 5 minutes. This means that if you get kicked for a reboot, at max, there is only a 5 minute progress loss. I know this isn't ideal so if you have any thoughts or comments, please share!

Hey Quantum. We have been toying around with the server reboots lately as we are trying to make it so the server updates patches quicker so that there is less downtime after a patch is released. This, unfotunately, means more frequent restarts a day as the server checks steam for an update. I think we currently have it set to every 6 hours (subject to change based on feedback). As far as shutdown notice, as of right now, I havn't been able to automate a means of alerting the server when an impending reboot is occuring. We only have very limited access to the server and the server is on windows so our options are somewhat limited in what we can do.

I know there is a server reboot every couple of days (I think), but there is never any notice when it does happen, and can leave you in very bad places.
