I've got two Steam copies of Far Cry 2 in my inventory, just cause I was and am a big fan of Far Cry 2. But I don't understand how GameSpy would make her game not work at all.

No you need a ubisoft account (it's quick and easy) and you have to put your key (you can see again the key on steam) for activate your multiplayer profil

Is multiplayer GameSpy only? I never actually played anything but the singleplayer.

good part is i got the game as a cd and cd key but i dont own it on steam and since gamespy got shutdown and such my cd game of farcry 2 dont work no more i love this game alot but sad ly i cant play it at all until i find a way to get it on steam just i dont want to rebuy a game i own already and 2 i have no money anyway to buy it on steam sooooo yeah but at this part this group will be really nice ^^
