Though I do too hope we see an Eldewrito for Halo 3 (we do have the tools now), or continued support in some way or another someday, controller aim assist was one thing that's always been the same from the beginning, if you "hate Halo 3" or "hate Halo multiplayer" because it had aim assist, you either never played Halo's multiplayer, or heard it was "unbalanced" from a content creator or social media and decided it ruined the game because you were told what to think.
If you take the fact that aim assist has historically been strong for 2 decades in Halo as rude and insensitive, I don't know what else to tell you. And this is a console game, built for consoles first, on a console input device.
I can record gameplay of Dewrito, then Halo 3 and show you the aim assist in MCC being weaker.
I've only started seeing this strange "aim assist is evil" argument because Ninja was incapable of handling a controller player in Fortnite a few years ago, and it started to spread like wildfire as the new "hacker" excuse for streamers.
You'd probably hate to know that you were against controller players with aim assist in the past then. ElDewRito had even STRONGER aim assist because it was built with the less accurate Xbox 360 controller in mind and not the Xbox One controller.
Stop listening to what DrDisrespect or (random Twitch streamer of the month) says, and try both input types before saying one is "broken".
You can already literally go circles around controller users in vehicles, snap to them at long ranges, as well as able to 180 them in close range melee, you've got the advantages, at medium range, the aim assist is there to keep at least some level of balance, without it, controller players will be incapable of hitting anything.

Sorry about the late reply, if you still need help, this may fix the crash:
Go to "dewrito_prefs.cfg", and open it.
Change Game.FPSLimiter "1" to Game.FPSLimiter "0"
Also can an admin edit this? Anvil/DewReCode are Eldewrito 0.6.

Oh wait, there is . The same place the actual game came from . https://www.reddit.com/r/HaloOnline/
It's probably worth mentioning, since it's the people there that would actually be able to help/fix problems.
