Extract the CONTENTS of the folder to /left4dead. Pay attention that you extracted the CONTENTS of the CC folder directly into your left4dead folder.

INCORRECT: left4dead/CC (There must be NO CC folder, only the files and folders inside the CC folder)
CORRECT: /left4dead

If you install it to the addons folder on your server, it WILL NOT detect it.

Is there any real place where I can get some tech related help? I don't think the maps where packed as full bright so it must be me.

Fire your voice actor.

MrFranswa, elegantly laid out and thoughtfully created piece you have here. I can see the confusion for some of the weaker players, but I see the realism you put in. In that situation going into a building you have never been in.... who the hell would know where to go??? So the confusion was just a logical element of gameplay. I see a very bright future for you, just remember one named Lazarus Code if you ever need some digital music. Hit me up at venturamusic@yahoo.com and I will drop you something special, for a taste of what I can do for you.

And thank you so much for your time and effort! I have told all my L4D friends about this campaign and will continue to annoy them till they play it. Thanks to your fiance too, as a woman who puts up with a gamer/computer nerd is beyond value... believe me I know, I have one.

It seems, people don't understand that a folder inside /addons work just as .vpk and can be played through lobby system. About the campaing, I think there was too much copied from other source games in the beginning, but from there I loved the map desing. Especially third chapter with all Jigsaw kinda ♥♥♥♥♥♥ house where we all were scared ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ when (suddenly) Louis got stuck in trap room etc.... It took us allmost 3 hours to complete is on normal, but that is not a problem, it's made to be slow and more realistic and survivors can't allways know where to go.

Too bad people have to get confused with snd_redbuildaudiocache thing, but that is a l4d/source engine bug and cannot be fixed by campaing author.

I just finished playing through the first map and I think there should've been a little more directing for the survivors going on, I was running around for ten minutes trying to figure out what I needed to do when I found the very small glowing lightbulb things. I loved the idea of going around the extremely large map searching for items, but I didn't like the lack of instructions on what the objectives of each section was. A voice over a radio to the survivors would be a great way to help because I got confused about the whole generator and elevator portion when I got to it and it felt like a missed an important part of the story. My favorite part of the first map was definitely the mud slide and I also thought interaction with objects was really cool too. I definitely hope you improve the campaign so it could be more player friendly. It was really cool not to have to rush without the special infected so keep the slow play going on. Great job on the campaign!

A disappointment, mrfranswa - You've a hell of a lot of polishing left to even make this comfortable to play. The mapping is also very poorly laid out - I spent most of the game in a state of abject confusion. I love your attempt to make L4D a slower and more thoughtful game, I like the mud slide in the first level, the various interactive objects and objectives - but the general quality is very low. I wish you luck and my offer to contribute voice recordings remains - Just a heads up on the opinion I hold, shared by the friends I played with.

Keep a focus on the slow, thoughtful play - it's a lot more fun than L4D standard rush+shoot.

No .vpk = Fail Cake Let me know when its done. I cant wait to play it but im not going to explain to everyone what a console is just so they can play a map.

Again, the campaign is completely free, however to get the prizes, t-shirt, and posters, you will need to join the release party.

Hey Mr. Franswa, I really hope your (very nice looking) mod is free :)!!

Don't be afraid that I took away the gold version in the news. I am not going to hit that deadline. Release date is unchanged tho, (I already rented the stuff!)

I apologize for not finding much wrong with beta 3, but I'm glad I was able to share with you what little I did find and hopefully it helps you out in your development cycle. I will try to lend a better helping hand during beta 4.
ChexMixer 23 Sep, 2009 @ 12:15pm
Hey, got word for your work on CS Nation. Looks great (from the pics and vids). Keep it up!
McLovin420 20 Sep, 2009 @ 1:25pm
All right, I'm interested in beta testing... I should have an... "interesting" system to play it on so you can get an idea of various performances. I sent you a friend add request.

ETX Aaron 17 Sep, 2009 @ 11:15pm
You can do it!
Gill 16 Sep, 2009 @ 9:27pm
Nice, after creating the most epic and fun Sven Co-op maps, I find this. I had no idea you were working on anything new! Resident Evil The Awakining must be the map I most played ever. I have no doubt this will be as great as your Resident Evil maps!

Just so everyone knows, I am hard at work on beta 3. It's a ton of work, and it looks like I have an all-nighter coming up. There is no way I can finish it today. School has just sucked too much of my time, (not to mention it took me about 15 hrs to make the intro due to the incredibly buggy code!)
