your description of ts sounds close enough.
either way the download for it is on moddb. just get link changed to that, and or convince valve to host some sort of nostalgia day or sommat. sell half life at like 5 bucks or something. showing off all the mods it had in its heyday.

also the ignorant ♥♥♥♥♥ who play ts, as you call them are partially responsible as to why its still alive. if they werent there, TS would have a total 10 players probably. just making a wild guess.

final quick point is that with hl2 not coming with hl1 its gonna be hard to get to your audience of people... which is those with hl1. Not even the condition zero package comes with half life so those with cz and cs wont have anything to get third party games with. Only other last thing is google which its doing pretty good on, but straight up ♥♥♥♥ the community now you should focus on newcomers this is a lot of effort and work though for something you didnt create is all im saying, most people would not be willing but this is my opinion and it makes sense its something that is worth a try if you have the energy

Steam no longer has a link actually so instead of having a dead link, there is just none. Just information about the game and company on the page(http://eo.steamhost.cc/app/90004) . The next thing im gonna say is the community, they at face value are some of the rudest, disrespectful and ill go so far as to say racially ignorant people somoene can come across. Not only that but a lot of malicious activity goes on now and we all know about that. Newcomers quickly will leave with that kind of ♥♥♥♥. The game simply isnt good enough compared to other top games for anyone to want to put up/tolerate that kind of thing coming onto a new game. Next is any newcomer has to deal with EVERYONE being better than them in dm, the annoyance and everything following i already mentioned. Its gonna be hard to bring it back but not impossible. I think #1 is to talk to steam about if they are willing to relink ts to a community built website for downloading and then making one for that to happen.

I will tell you this, in order to bring ts back the same thing that GOT IT GOING needs to happen and thats promotion and advertisement in short. Like for starters and those who dont know the website for this is down. That creates a gang of problems already with player base. Its already not a REAL game as in its a third party game for steam. The website is where people generally get this from or through(mirrors) because you cannot get it through steam. Next direct problem is that upon an individual stumbling onto this on steam they come to a dead link. The name doesnt help for finding it through google either and the individual decides ♥♥♥♥ that because theyve never heard of it, it just looks sick through pictures but obviously its no longer around. Which is the next point, the game looks like its a game like cs 1.6... done and overwith not even having a website anymore. Part of the website is forums for a community. Without this BASIC stuff expect NO newcomers.
