Update: all paid mods are currently inaccessible in workshop, victory or deepening problem? We will see.

I have been an Elder Scrolls Series modder since morrowind, i worked on some of the largest mods out there( i was part of Tamriel Rebuilt for just under a year, i have numerous releases)

as a modder, even in my semi-retirement from modding, i am disgusted by this move, many of us pour countless hours of dedication into something for nothing more than to make others happy, and valve cheapens all that effort with this one move. it makes it not even worth it now, to me at least.

Having someone considered a "Modder" of the skyrim community, and allowing them to put their content on workshop is fine for me and I'm pretty sure everybody else aswell, but it is the fact that givent he choice to, these people are having these mods beings sold for pennies on the dollar.

46 cents for a mod isn't fine, especially if it is just a sword or some kinda deal like that. It is ridiculous that they'd even openly push this out. The mere fact that there might not be a filtering process on the ♥♥♥♥ and not-♥♥♥♥ really doesn't extricate it or even straitlace the system for workshop, it was made for free stuff.

I kinda have a really bad feeling there is gonna be a WarZ type deali n the coming months/weeks if this isn't changed real soon...

Looking at those prices too, It's quite disgusting. The Workshop should be a free space, not a community market. Especially for Single Player games like Skyrim. Donations if any to the Workshop contributors should be willingly gifted, not after you purchase and realise the mod is utter ♥♥♥♥♥ for a No-Refund.

But put it this way, we still have sites such as TESNexus and Garrysmod.org to get all of our things free of charge. :spazdreaming:

who the hell thought this was a good idea
shira 23 Apr, 2015 @ 2:09pm
valve has really lost it this time
suicidal.banana 23 Apr, 2015 @ 2:05pm
We pretty much need to grow this group to be among the biggest steam groups to have a chance of beeing heard by valve.
DrunkenAnarchist 23 Apr, 2015 @ 2:03pm
I agree, we should not have to pay for mods, inless it is something like a donation. Valve has gone too far on this one and we need to stand up against it.
suicidal.banana 23 Apr, 2015 @ 1:58pm
The thing is, donation button is a option, but only with a minimum amount, valve gotta make a bit over our backs after all. :[
Venclaire 23 Apr, 2015 @ 1:53pm
It should be a donation button.
suicidal.banana 23 Apr, 2015 @ 1:53pm
