currently, each time we want to add music to our system from any of the ost albums linked to our accounts we need to download complete albums; so, imo, if we could manually select a few songs from each (because maybe we only like one or two), it would be better to have the option to manually select and download with songs and which format (mp3, ogg or flac, depending in availability)

also, since each account "earns" a bit more of steam cloud space depending in the amount of paid games owned, maybe offering the option to stream a few songs from albums owned could be a nice addition to steam services. users could select, lets say around 20 songs (at least), or songs that amount n-time, all from the same album or a mix from different albums, and then run them with an upgraded version of the steam media player.
