Dang 10 years had gone by already? I graduated from High School, got my Associates, and a year away from my Bachelors. I barely even got time for games nowadays. Even though those times were short and took a total on me, they were still some of the best times of my teens playing with ya'll. If you ever decide to host for at least a day, I'll love to play again with you Stealth and Chris. Hope you two bastards are doing well!

I was one of the first admins on this server with Chris. One day I hopped on and I was mod after like 7 hours. Funny thing is I was only an edgy 15 year old at the time. I had some good times but the reason I left in summer of 2013 was because of mental health. Stealth, Chris, if ya reading this, I miss ya bastards! ;)

It's been almost five years since the server died.

God I feel ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ old. Almost 23 now, 15 when I started playing here.

I'd consider going back when I get the time to Chris, I've been busy myself but I'll check out the server once in a while when I can.

Haha, that's quite funny people still talk about it. Those were some good days and fun people!

I'd be willing to try to resurrect it, but my problem would be lack of time to invest in it like I used to. I'm now managing a global team of software developers and personal life stuff also which take nearly all of my time. I might be able to spin up an instance on my virtual server, but I would need help on the maintenance. As you recall, gmod servers require a LOT of TLC on a daily basis.

Check out the state of my home lab I'm building (attached). Got a few servers running in my office now for testing stuff and I'm lucky to have gotten gigabit fiber (no more cable modem! 1000mbps up and down), so I should have the technical bandwidth.

Let me know. Can you point me to the thread that people are talking about the old server? I'd like to read those.

I turned it off for multiple reasons:

1. Lack of availability on my part to tend to the issues
2. I hosted this server from my home, Comcast is my provider, and they have a 300GB cap before they charge you more. I can handle this, but not when the state of the server is broken and burning my bandwidth usage.
3. You and I have moved on to bigger and better things. Priorities are different now.

One day I hope to bring some new version of it back online, but today I just don't see the need. I'm sure there are some other great & better servers to serve everyone.

If you want the evolve logs and configs to preserve the game times of everyone and start your own server, I can probably dig those out and send over.

LASTLY: if there's really people wanting this back up, I will bring it back up, but again, it will be semi to un-maintained right now.
