It's been abandoned before even game come out, so yes, it's cancelled, and backer don't even get money back.

I so hoped that this was going to be not only a thing but a great thing. Now looks like its going to be vaporware.

Sigh... I have Backer's Remorse over this game. Now I have to expect a finished game rather than some bug ridden monstrosity. I certainly do not lack patients nor have unrealistic expectations so clearly these devs suck and I'm awesome because I backed a game that blows $60+mil to create junk.

Anyone know if they commented about epic fleet battles? (thinking end game scenarios). Will the other powers rally and try to destroy you should you grow to powerful. (sort of like shogun 2) Or is that still unclear?

I love the fact that this Steam group is playing every video game genre out there, hopefully means The Mandate will appeal to a wide demographic!

@Satoru My school has a Dual Color Makerbot, the tech teacher lobbied for it. However Shapeways and some other online groups will do it for a price. It would be better if you had acess to facilities though, online printing is very expensive most of the time.

@Satoru Yeah it was alot fun checking the kickstarter every morning to check progress. Really happy that away missions and starbase interactions are in.

Well there's apparently a MakerBot store now in Boston. Maybe they can print stuff?

@lawson where can you print those things anyway? Is there some online place where you can do that? I mean not everyone has a 3d printer just 'lying around'. Unless figure out which damn MIT building has one or something.

Can't Wait for the 3D print assets, so happy the strecth goals got to where they did!

Just to let people know, I'm not dead or inactive. I'm working 10 hour days, sleeping through daytime, and spending only enough time at home and awake to eat and clean myself.

I will soon finish initial Officer and Mod selection and outlining the current purpose of the group, for those who wish to participate in it, and long term goals as well. As well as a friendly competition thread to help get the word out about The Mandate's PayPal status to more people who may wish to back it.

Fully funded, and all but two stretch goals in the bag! And those last two WILL be reached. I doubt very much that it'll end up less than one million dollars by the end of January.
