Whenever he shows up topics always seem to get locked and people always seem to get banned. Strange.

As far as I can tell not liking the new library is the crime. A lot of them seem to take it very personally that not everyone likes the new changes.

It does feel like that's their collective aim. I'm not active on forums really, but there must be people who have committed far worse 'crimes' and didn't receive such a harsh punishment as you did.

I fell for their "prove it" trick. It doesn't matter how many screenshots or links you provide it will never be enough. They will keep asking for more and more "proof". And eventually the mods will swoop in and declare that you're off-topic.

Their intentions are bad, so trying to be reasonable would never work. They show up pretending to be there in good faith though, so attempting to have a discussion is understandable.

Sadly I learned that too late. Silly me I was trying to have a reasonable discussion with them this whole time.

Best to block them and not engage with them at all.

Yes. I've noticed that they go back and delete posts that are months old. Slowly a handful at a time. This way they can use the "so few of you" argument.

I have a suspicion that some of the people derailing topics are mods, or at the very least friends of mods. Because it's almost always a private level 0 account and the mods are more interested in locking the whole topic rather than dealing with the one single individual responsible for derailing them.

Well and 22 hours ago they locked the current thread. Lets see if I get a ban for reporting the moderator doing this over and over again instead of banning the people derailing the discussion.

Just joined the group and clicked the poll. I didn't even notice the link to this group until just now, because somebody happened to mention it in the thread. I like the idea of the poll, While it is not a fair representation of the sides, it does catalogue the amount of people who prefer the old UI (providing it can't be spammed), so that's a good thing. It's a shame there is no way to make the poll and this group more noticeable.

Joined the group for the post about medical issues. Might be nice if someone knows who's admin for the group so they can follow up on complaints and remove the obvious troll post from the topic.

I posted a new Suggestions/Ideas post with a list of problems on it only to be informed that one had already been created. I deleted the one I made and updated the new one. It needs more suggestions or specific information regarding some of the entries.

It's odd that it wasn't as obvious as the other threads, considering the problems are ongoing.

Finally found (was told by someone very nice in the steam discussion) how to contact someone directly regarding a complaint about how this is being handled by support and by the steam forum moderators. Feck knows what good it'll do, but I can't idly sit here and curse the darkness. I want to light up a flamethrower.

Received an email saying 9 games on my wish list are on sale. I didn't buy anything but instead deleted all 62 games from my wish list. I kept a copy of the list though as I intend to buy those games elsewhere, unless Valve gives us the option to revert to the old UI.

Does anyone know if the new UI uses Chrome, or is just Chromium-based? I am trying to live as Google-free as possible but if Valve is forcing people to accept Google invading our libraries, that'll be the final straw for me.

What do we do when they make the old client not work, or it gets so out of date that it's a security risk?
