Green paint cost 1.33 metal. You can sell it in market for dollar a piece. 1.33 x 3 = 4 refs (same as one key). Key cost 3.66-4 refs. You can sell it for 2 dollars a piece in the market. So would you rather pay 2.66 (old key price btw) for 2 paint cans, than pay 4 refs for essentially the same exact outcome in the end?
You're welcome for the keys (: Do whatever the hell you want with them and maybe even take advantage of this 3.66 deal if you buy enough :D

According to this, in order for you to save anything from buying them off market - you have to buy at least 75 keys (since difference is literally 1 cent in between the two price points). Makes market completely pointless for retail purchases.
