The eight season of Intel Challenge Super Cup has been announced, once again featuring a $10,000 prize pool, but this season expanding to thirty-two teams.

Season seven concluded in late March when Natus Vincere came from behind to win the Grand Final 2-1 against Frag eXecutors. The organizers have now revealed the eight season, which once again will feature a $10,000 prize pool split between top three:


1. $5,000
2. $3,000
3. $2,000

The eight season will feature a total of thirty-two teams, which is double the amount compared to the previous season. The season will begin in a group-stage, featuring eight groups of four teams. Each team will play six matches, twice against every team.

Top two from each group will advance to a second group-stage, featuring four groups of four teams. Top two from each group will then advance to the season LAN finals, once again taking place at the Kiev CyberSport Arena in Kiev, Ukraine.

Currently two teams have been confirmed for the eight season, being the defending championship from Natus Vincere and the runners-up from Frag eXecutors. The organizers have informed HLTV.org that the selection and invite of more teams is in process and more teams will be announced shortly.
