that's impossible since people can't leave/join in GZDoom freely, you need to reserve spaces and the game can't start until everyone has joined
Crouch and either rapidly move your mouse side to side or pick a direction to move it in and quickly maintain that direction of mouse movement. I do the latter since it's smoother and gives me a better view of what's going on despite spinning in a circle on the ground. If you combine this with a liquid flat (floor texture like water, or dirty questionable origin brown water, not sure on slime/acid/nukage) it will douse quite fast. I believe the snake floors that look like raw hamburger (hell knight colored or baron of hell colored) also douse fire faster, as if you're submerging under, smothering the fire more effectively. Sorry for the verbose explanation.

Insurgency Sound Replacement Pack [www.directlinkupload.com], load LAST(after hd.pk7)-ripped from Insurgency, very real and life-like explosions as well as sound replacements for pistol&smg, all shotguns, all rifles&vulcanette amd thunderbuster. This can actually be played clientside without any desync. (this is different than my ♥♥♥♥♥♥ "real gun sounds for hideous destructor" thread on the forums)
Cybercrime 3 Deathmatch Maps [www.directlinkupload.com]
A must have if you plan to play any deathmatch, team-deathmatch or FFA(yes, HD deathmatch is a blast as long as everyone agrees to only use ballistic/bullet weapons and grenades). Load BEFORE hd.pk7 or else it will overwrite some weapon sprites.
Got my ports forwarded and have experience in playing online through cmd line and BATs.
FOR BEST RESULTS BEFORE PLAYING: Make sure everyone has the same files loaded in the same order, have the same GZDoom revision from http://devbuilds.drdteam.org/gzdoom/ (maybe keep a specific build in its own folder for netplay), and keep anything like brightmaps or other such mods out of your autoload list to prevent desyncs. Now give 'em hell.
