You can't get the games to work? Why not? What error messages do you get?

Hey Tevorn, I made a ftp to share freedom force user art you'll need a ftp client to upload I use cuteftp myself but any will do address is ftp:/freedomforceskins.servegame.com
Tevron 10 Jun, 2009 @ 9:17am
damn, i know what you mean....the only way you can have the same content is having the same data as the player
detourne_me 10 Jun, 2009 @ 1:05am
Tevron, The bundle stuff never worked out. You'll have to install skins and meshes the standard way. Irrational Games never made any patches for FFVTTR or brought the mod tools out of the beta stage. sorry man, but them's the breaks/
76561198010559772 9 Jun, 2009 @ 2:01am

detourne_me is right....but there is a way to put any type of content in the game. I just dont get what bundle is

have a look at this link to help me out. only the people who has character tools wiill know this

file:///C:/Program%20Files/Irrational%20Games/FFvTTR/help/Character%20Tool/index.htm

press on the 'BUNDLE' icon

just bought the game, cant wait to play

OK, so I just played a multiplayer game with myself to test out how it handles custom skins/meshes. Well all people involved have to have the same custom meshes (all in the same folders, with the same names) to play correctly.

It's okay if there are different skins, as they will load differently on the computers.
However if one person doesn't have the right mesh, it loads up minuteman by default, but with all of the attributes, powers and animations of the custom character.

So this means, if people want to do multiplayer battles with custom meshes, everyody involved should have the same files. I guess the easiest way to ensure that is when you download custom content, please keep the names that the original creators gave the files,
For example : The Rampaging Hulk By Renegade is just titled "Hulk" while his Red Hulk is called "Hulk_red" and the Incredible Hulk is called "Incredible_Hulk" - hope that makes sense.

I didn't know there was an event :< I've still yet to play anyone in a game of FF lol
Wack 1 Jun, 2009 @ 6:09am

detourne_me 1 Jun, 2009 @ 3:38am
I've got FFEdit working (the FFVTTR version) although there are some issues with it and with FFX3.3 - some attributes work while some don't at all.
TRonald 31 May, 2009 @ 9:06pm
I was having trouble installing FFEdit on my Vista PC. Anyone else having problems?
Wack 30 May, 2009 @ 7:27pm
For those who cant create or have problems with Joining servers online i suggest Hamachi :>
Aggs 30 May, 2009 @ 6:07pm
The problem is I see a lot of sites that say the skins work for either game, but I can only seem to apply them to the meshes in the first. I just tried applying it to the nocape model in the TTR, but it's not so simple. Odds are if I actually tried to fix it I could, but I'm having too much fun playing this game again.

Also, am I the only one who loves the hammy narrator? He needs to be playable.
detourne_me 30 May, 2009 @ 6:02pm
Hi,

I've just created a Steam group for Freedom Reborn - the FF and FFvsTTR modding community. Please join up if you are interested.

Also check out www.freedomreborn.net if you aren't aware. There are a tonne of mods for the games that will really iimporvew your experiences.

Aggs - What sort of problems are you having with the skins?
Aggs 30 May, 2009 @ 5:49pm
I can't seem to get skins for third reich. A shame since that one has the cleaner online play. Anyone have any tips?
detourne_me 30 May, 2009 @ 5:39pm
Lash Lightning, I love your avatar! I was actually thinking of making some Gurren Lagann meshes for freedom force!!

I would totally be down with playing some online matches. I was always interested to see the capabilities and how they handled custom meshes.
CeleryMan 30 May, 2009 @ 5:39pm
And I'm assuming that this group will also be playing Vs. The Third Reich online too?
CeleryMan 30 May, 2009 @ 5:34pm
I can't wait to take my horribly made characters online and totally be destroyed by peopel who have been playing this game for years! Yeah!

but seriously, i'm excited.
Hootie 30 May, 2009 @ 4:27pm
Heya, just started playing FF due to the sweet deal steam made for it lately, and I love it! Definately looking to see what multiplayer is like, the custom hero stuff seem really in-depth
Aggs 30 May, 2009 @ 9:39am
I was looking forard to being able to play this game again. We should set up some online danger room fights or something.
Bryn Starr 30 May, 2009 @ 8:21am
I've got the second game in CD form, however that now longer works thanks to the out of date CD Protection. As soon as I can get my hands on a PayPal Account, I'll buy both these games, and hopefully get into the customising community!
detourne_me 30 May, 2009 @ 5:52am
Hi! Thanks for making this group!

I'm a member on Freedom Reborn www.freedomreborn.net and I'm really excited that Freedom Force has come to Steam. Now I'm trying to install some mods for both games, and I'd like to see how that works out.

Hopefully being on Steam will breath more life into the game, and people will play online more.
PocketFullOfFun 30 May, 2009 @ 5:44am
Hey guys! I was the only member last night, and i wake up to find that theres 10 members now! Thats awesome. I havnt purchased the game yet but i planned to soon. Friend me and we can do multiplayer sometime :D Hope this community grows
