So, what's everybody playing nowadays?

Dawn of War II is an RTS with an ingrained RPG-style upgrade system. In the campaign, you can level up your squads to give them new abilties, and you can find both weapons and armours, most of which have certain abilities (such as extra damage or health). The Multiplayer is based on Windows Live, the pc equivalent to Xbox Live. You need to capture and hold two out of three objective points until their ticket count runs out, ala COD4 domination, or a battlefield game. You chose a Commander, which will decide your race and some special abilities. Your troops can level up if they are succesfull in battles, making them slightly more resiliant, and you can buy upgrades for them as the game progresses

Speaking of which, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. is a wonderfull but under played game. It's a sandbox FPS, where you get to kill almost anyone you desire (Main Characters mostly excluded) and do quests whenever you feel like it. It got a lot of flak when it came out because of bugs and glitches, but by now they've been addressed.

-.- Saying that you should check it out, doesn't mean you have to play it, don't pm me about how much it "sucks". I'm just trying to get exposure for some lesser played titles.

It's got a big player base, good graphics, and fun classes. I've been playing since it came out in September, and it's already had two free expansion packs added on to it. Download it or ask for a disk copy

Eh, I've played it on 360, it's fun to just run around, but the story line seems to have occasional dull points.

I swiped Prototype, but it has no sound. I've heard its not actually that great though.

By the way, I figured I might start posting snippets of games here when I feel the urge. Hope nobody minds.

Call of Cthulhu is good, once you get it running. There's a fix posted on the steam forums for that. Anyway, it's an intruiging tale based off the works of a Mr. Lovecraft. Demons, crazed cultists, and Even Gods are forces working against you; a humble detective, whom the fates have chosen.
