2025 Winter Sale Points Shop Badge
This year's seasonal badge from the Points Shop have the laziest design. It has only a couple of different designs. Most of them are copies with different colour. Steam gets lazier with everything.

Exactly how much effort should they put into. Something which the overwhelming majority. Wont even bother themselves with picking up. The manpower, the time spent, hell the electricity. Would all be better spent on most anything else.

The seasonal point shop badge is just a way to convert steam points into levels. Basically you'll bother with getting and level one up, because of having nothing better to spend the points on, or you're in the market for a badge that is relatively rare due to the monetary cost.

You don't get them to brag about them or show them off. You get them to go up a few more levels on your profile. In a very real sense it doesn't matter how they look, or how much actual effort has been put into them, and this is someone with a level 28 badge telling you this.
Its a service issue. The little things make us feel happy, and keeping the people spending money happy is important. Letting things slip because you can is not good in the long run.

So yeah making a nice badge is not everything, but it's a whole lot more than nothing.

Odd. I saw this exact post yesterday, now deleted and reposted. Quoting it to save it this time round.

Anyways... Same complaint every single time a new seasonal badge is released. Nothing new.

There is a huge difference between summer and winter even. However, you are going to disregard it, since you do not care. A company giving a lazy service at one place means it can do the same thing at another which is the case here. Steam is not offering a better service for years. It is taking advantage of being close to a monopoly.
