Disturbance
Aparently calling out corruption in gaming brings out more of the corruption in the form of denial of access to purchases, games not working and censorship when you try raise concerns over the matter. This would be the 2nd unintentional time I have been exposed to this non sense. The manipulation is immeasurable on their behalf. Does anyone else have this problem? Where you buy a game and then it just mistreats you blatantly same goes for the platform, Just off the top of my head I have a support ticket open raging about where my save data went for a certain game, apparently the cloud services are such that your data can up and vanish at the drop of a hat. Things are really looking awful to be honest. Want to talk about it ?

So what exactly is the issue you are talking about? You posted about things that are not related.

Good question, who are you?

An user of Steam like you. Are you wanting a certain person? If yes, you will not see someone from Steam reply.

Yes, and it has always been like that. And that's totally your fault for even thinking it would be foolproof.

Not even kidding and no sarcasm intended.

Thanks for joining in.

Ive just made a discussion about the disturbance, if anyone wants to talk about it they can join in. If they dont they still might join in and derail the discussion, or the discussion doors will close permenantly on us forever? who knows what could happen. Ive pointed out my save data just going missing so theres that, Quite an important issue if you ask me, if you apply this disturbance to everyone at the same time it could get quite riveting. Imagine millions of us just all lose our game progress at the same time precisely how I've lost mine recently, having trusted the cloud save feature. It feels discussion worthy. Theres a discussion to be had here surely.
Why would one "trust" the cloud save feature to begin with? Let's start with that...

If it is not directly on your computer drive then you don't really control what happen with that data. Simple logic. Add to this that it is extremely well known that there is often issues with it which could either corrupt or override your data and this happen way more often the higher the amount of unique machines/client connected to the cloud in any given time.

But what is the issue? You mention things like corruption, censorship, manipulation etc but the only issue I see is a problem with cloud saves. How are these connected? What is the mistrestment?
If you check the person’s post history, you will see that they have a history of understanding computers in the following way: “This is how it should work. I will accept no compromises.” Or “It worked this way once before, so I will not accept any other method now.”

I think OP should take a break from clown farming and actually create the software that they want. With such strong opinions and an unwavering commitment to quality that matches their values, there would be at least five users around the world that would be very happy with such an implementation.
No, its weird, most all the games I've bought are giving me an excruciating experience at the moment for whatever flacid reason they have. No matter how much positive energy and good vibes I bring with me to this platform and the games Ive bought it is always choked out.

In one case the games admins have made it so the game doesnt recognise my local data, which would have been the exact same data on the cloud that just went missing apparently they didnt waste time to say they are not responsible which is alarming. So I have a backup of my progress, the game ignores it and steam cloud lost my progress which is rather concerning, anyone trying to derail this discussion should take this fact into concideration. I have blocked the persron who has done a deep dive on my post history because thats creepy and aggressive, why do you need to barrel into my history to be involved in this discussion, thats just derailing but we all know discussions come with this sort of interference.

Please dont forget that my missing progress was just an issue off the top of my head, there are so many issues. It would be great if we could all come together as a community and maybe stop this non sense from happening. If people aren't taking this matter seriously I feel sorry for them beccuase our data just vanishing at the snap of someone else's finger is more than disturbing. If it happened to all of us the platform may just never recover, its an important issue that should be resolved.
Dude, you're throwing around a lot of words with very, VERY little content. So far, you've named. One. Single. Actual issue (the thing with saves) with the remainder of your posts being hollow rhetorics.

The one not taking this seriously is you.
Dude, If that single thing doesnt raise eyebrows around here I am afraid for what the future may bring to be honest. I have posted quite a few discussions if you are interested for more. Feel free to join in on any of the discussions that are still breathing.
If you REALLY care about a specific savefile. Never, 100% rely on cloud saves. Ever heard of the 3 copy rule?

1 on disk, 1 on external disk and 1 on cloud.

There is a reason why this is a thing.

That's for the topic of cloud save doing seppuku.
Its disturbing that some of the participants are just out right saying dont trust Cloud Saving. If you backup your data and use cloud saving you shouldnt have to deal with this corruption unless someone has a better word? A more appropriate word? I shouldnt be in this situation. Im not the red flag.

Dude.

I hate to break it to you. But, no matter WHO host the data for you. Always keep a physical copy on your end if you care THAT much about it.

Anyone with a minimum of credibility when it comes to data security will tell you the same.

Doesn't matter if it's Valve, Microsoft, Apple or some random service you might be using.

Never 100% trust the cloud.
Anyway, what's that big corruption thing anyway?

Are you implying a devs went out of their way to target YOU and delete your savefile or some ♥♥♥♥ along those lines?
