I try to play JRPGs while watching TV but it ends up being background noise til the good part gets on.
Why just watch something in the world of multiple monitors? Why not game on two screens and watch something cozy like Pawn stars?
Well, some games have a lot of busywork and mini-games, especially games like Yakuza.
Some series are slow and the plot takes a while to move.
Now that is peak tech. I'm honestly jealous if you have one of those
Which JRPGs do you enjoy? I'm interested in the slow pace of the genre.
I have only played a few of the Final Fantasy games.
Did we have a world war 3 and 4? and was 4 fought with sticks and stone then it's still wrong.
Anyway: TLDR. ...
The best ones to play while watching tv are the ones without voice acting, the FF1-6 pixel remasters are all great, Kingdoms of the Dump is a new game and its really good and doesnt have active timing in battles so you can just pick it up and go.
Live a Live is good, the dragon quest remakes are great if you like brutal challenges even on the normal mode.
Chrono Trigger is good but has an active battle system, Chrono Cross is ok if you play that before Chrono Trigger.
The SaGa series are also all really good if you don't mind the different systems to gain stats and skills.
If you like tactics games tactics ogre, final fantasy tactics, front mission, all great.
I really love me some Square games if you couldn't tell.
Lunar Collection too, those are some of the best JRPGs from that era.
Thanks man.
JRPG games are pretty expensive.
Which one would you say has the highest bang for buck?
