Anyone genuinely dislike south park
south park is one of the most preachy and annoying shows out there, people tell you to watch the show because it will teach you something but its just insulting people and a "centrist" opinion by two guys who work for a megacorperation (Im not talking about trump ♥♥♥♥, im talking about listening to the shows opinions in general". its not interesting at all, its the exact opposite of escapism

im sure plenty of peoples dislike it, you are free to dislike anything you like. i like it though
It is funny, I haven't watched most recent episodes but most of the ones I did see were good.
OP is lucky his username isn't TImandErik like I first thought; this thread was about to go from sad to epic.

Sorry to disappoint.

South Park requires an open mind, a penchant for the absurd and an understanding of the stupidity of people. Throw in some humour, sarcasm and biting rhetoric... it's a beautiful thang.

what?

you can dislike anything you like! like for example, anything! not liking things you dislike, but disliking anything you like! like, you know?
I think they're kind of posers. They pretend to be edgy and are great at making fun of groups that are "safe" to make fun of....it's like Oh they're making fun of Jesus again, at most they'll have claims of religious boycotts and people praying for them.

Mohammed is a gold-mine of content and often South Park is super-tame with them and Comedy central censors it.

It's a good show. I'm watching it right now. I don't like how it devolved into dramatized social commentary after the 2000s though.

for safety. trey & matt have made it clear that they are willing to be discussing any issue or offending anyone, but putting the rest of the staff in danger for mocking such things is not what they want. so they do not any more.

Sounds like they are afraid to breach certain topics and offend certain groups.

They can claim safety all they want, they're afraid.

"Claim safety"

You do realise people actually died for those jokes right? Was it worth it in your oh-so-mighty mind and opinion?

trey and matt are clearly not afraid considering they have already done it like 5 times. however as i stated, they are not willing to put the rest of their staff in danger for the sake of satire.

I never liked South Park but respect those that enjoy it. The humour is very simple and crude to me with toilet humour and weirdness. I just found it loud and chaotic but I understand why it was so popular.
It was OK, but the show has for the last several seasons forgot the kids were supposed to be the main focus. Before Tegrity Farms and streaming, it was maybe 6/10 just entertaining enough to bother watching it. Now it is 4/10 at best.

This last season, they only repeated the same joke every episode, it is like someone form OT was writing it. At this point it is only worth watching if you enjoyed it from a long time ago. I really think the writers ran out of ideas, but considering what they get paid to throw together a quick show, you can't blame them for continuing the show.
