Free Games Megathread

Please keep discussions about specific games to a minimal.

No one cares if you liked or hated the game, feel it isn't worth the time or any other such opinions in this thread. This thread is simply to inform people of sites offering free game.

Any game giveaways are allowed, provided they are from a legal store or game site.

List any special requirements to obtain the game. For example:

"Requires Amazon Prime"
"Requires that you sign up for the news letter"
"Requires the soul of your first born"

Please keep it to one listing per a game.
Games and other software only.
List the day the giveaway ends, if known.
Remember to delete the listing if the deal is over.

Referal links are not allowed.
Raffles are not giveaways and so are not allowed.
Games that are permanently free are not part of this thread.
Adult games are not allowed. (There is no age check in these forums)

Personal giveaways are not allowed.

If a user wishes to giveaway a game, they can:
Post in a game's trading sub-forum.
Post in a giveaway group.
Use Steam Gifts[www.steamgifts.com] (not owned or operated by Valve)

Any posts for free games/software out side of this thread is considered advertising and subject to the discussions rules and guidelines.

IndieGala-Account required. The giveaways there change relatively frequently. Once added to your IndieGala-library, you can download them via your internet-browser or the IndieGala-client. DRM-Free.

Edit: Since IndieGala has a dedicated page to on-going giveaways (and there are pretty much always a few), it might be better, to just add that page as a permanent link, instead of posting IndieGala freebies constantly. If people would like to get notified on new freebies there, i suggest subscribing to their newsletter or bookmarking the site and checking every now and then.

Seems to be giving an error at the moment though, when trying to add. If you get the error as well, just wait a day or two as it may be a server issue.

Works 0% of the time across all browsers. Fails to link Steam account every time. What a mess.

Edit: it worked with Steam's internal browser, funnily enough.

I did it through chrome.
Steam was already logged in

This is reported to be working now! Just claimed it my self to set and worked fine.

I just did it, and only the skulls one was in my cart, but when I checked out it also gave me one called chaos gate. Maybe the second one is picked randomly?

Chaos Gate is the free game for everyone, the Skulls thing is just a bunch of cool Warhammer goodies.

How do you even redeem it? I've tried to do it on my phone, a browser and GOG Galaxy. All of them just run you around in loops of store page, home page, sale page, opens browser and then you're back at the sale page. GOG always seems to be so difficult for give aways.

On the GOG store page just below flash deals it will let you grab the game.
