just download the correct ones from the laptop mfg for win 10, save them somewhere on the drive and turn off windows driver and bios updates

The password for my Windows account that I login on daily is one password I will always remember.
Also you don't need to have internet on to use your PC. You can be offline as long as you want.

As I have a digital license tied to my account, I didn't see much of a point in enforcing that though. When I got far enough into the installation it still asked for my MS credentials without an obvious way around it at the time.
25h2 still allows it
In Steam stats windows 11 is gaining users.
Linux is most likely never going to get main stream. Even with the help of Valve.
As far as I am concerned, it is already the case. But, for "the average joe" there is still some efforts to be made.
