Steam game boxes

I miss the old gays of looking at a game box and disk on my way home from the store.
SOOOOO, how about you making these boxes 3d? could be opt in thing.
Most of these games have a box art, they are also console releases.

Could even make the steam library a shelf with games in there like this is your room and you own them physically.

It's a fun idea.

But a virtual representation wouldn't have the same punch. You can't recreate the feeling of being a kid, having a box in your hands, feeling the anticipation, reading the instructions while you wait, and all that jazz. It's just not what people do anymore. I know how you feel, but what you're suggesting is a lot of work for five seconds of nostalgia, sometimes.

Like I'm not arguing against it, I'm just seeing a number of reasons why it might not ever be done.
