Last weekend, I couldn't open up Steam. Double click, open as admin, reinstalled, disabled firewall, etc. Nothing was working. I was told to post my solution here on the off chance someone who has this issue sees it. Hopefully y'all won't have to go through the trouble of reformatting Windows

1) Unplug your controller . Did not work for me but others have said it was THE fix for them. So try it!

2) Unplug any unnecessary USBs . Seriously why and how was this an actual fix? I swear software is just Wild Magic.

3) Reinstall into a different drive . This was my solution. Previous installed on an SSD (Samsung EVO 970 Plus) to an HDD (Seagate BarraCuda). Not sure if a different type of drive made a difference but it works all the same. Doesn't slow me down since my Library is on my main drive.
