Credit card and PayPal purchases not going through

I get the following message when I attempt to make purchases for friends for the holidays:

For the protection of the account holder, this purchase has been declined. Further purchasing will be temporarily limited - please contact Steam Support to resolve this issue.

Not sure what's going on, sent a support request. Any thoughts?

Sounds like the system saw you gifting a lot of people at once and thinks you may be taking part in commercial activity.

Send a ticket to support and calmly explain what your doing to get the lock lifted.

Thanks, I did send a ticket in, they didn't seem to have an issue with my payment when I bought 3 OLED decks a couple weeks ago, lol

It is possible to trigger a fraud protection for as much as you have been spending. It should get sorted.
