Can she Speak english?
Game description is chinese, but all the text under the game is english.... but the videos of the ai talking are chinese.

So "can" she speak english?

(Also, Does "she" collect/send any data?) (Can it be ran "offline"?) if not i assume all this processing is taking place on a server with everyones chat logs etc, or no? (Genuine questions)

if it's ai I doubt it can run offline - I suggest if you do run it do it with wireshark along side it to confirm

Yeah... seems interesting but sketchy.
"hearing what you think and seeing what you see.", ehhhhh

If we could just to talk it/her, sure. But its like "let this AI see all your screens and hear all your audio".

copilot ai does that on edge browser, i think its not safe if they cant be trusted
If you don't trust random Chinese entities, don't use the internet at all bc EVERY SINGLE COMPANY sells your data to random Chinese entities, even (ESPECIALLY) "Trusted" companies like Google
Take comfort in knowing your privacy is LONG gone.

Unfortunately, our release has been delayed. We’ve posted a new announcement explaining the current situation in detail.

We understand that many players have concerns about data security. To clarify: our software is fully open-source and completely transparent — you can inspect everything on our GitHub. The app itself is non-profit in nature. Our goal is to provide an open and transparent service, and we plan to charge only through independently sold games that can optionally connect with the app.

Ironically, the reason we failed Steam’s review is exactly because we wanted to let players configure their own APIs (for example, connecting directly to OpenAI and bypassing our servers entirely). Steam, however, only allows us to offer this kind of feature through in-app purchases (your money -> Steam -> us -> OpenAI).

Meanwhile, we believe that with the support of the open-source community, fully local deployment won’t be far away .

Lastly, I am a research scientist currently living in the United States — you can find my personal information on my GitHub profile. Our decision to prioritize the Chinese market first is simply due to my personal publishing advantages there. Early next year, we will fully support both the Realtime API and Gemini Live API, allowing your data to connect directly to any trusted service provider of your choice.

Sorry, I’m still not very familiar with how the Steam Community works. I hope you’re able to see the message above. Thank you again for your interest and support.

Hi, I’m not completely sure what you mean. The software is open-source — you can check all the code and see exactly how it works and what permissions it uses on GitHub. It won’t attempt to read any local files other than its own.

Also, the software has no built-in sign-up or login system. If identification is needed, we obtain your Steam ID through the official Steamworks API.

Maybe you’re referring to the possibility that the vision model could accidentally capture sensitive information? The vision feature can be turned on or off, and you can choose whichever service provider you trust (including local models in the future). As a tool, we leave all these choices entirely up to you.

There’s a switch, and it’s turned off by default. It’s quite expensive to run, so we don’t want to encourage users to keep it enabled all the time.

Alright, thanks. but What I mean is, it makes the app feel less fun. Maybe, if possible, you could say something that helps us trust you more

That’s a fair point — and you’re right about one thing:
the experience we’re aiming for is a sense of presence and companionship, not silence or distance.

Anything that affects closeness or presence is something you explicitly control. It’s adjustable, and it’s never meant to feel like you’re being watched.

The goal is simple: to feel accompanied when you want it, and left alone when you don’t.
If it ever starts to feel uncomfortable, that means we’ve gone too far — and that’s not the experience we want to create.
