I can open up Skyrim and nobody bats an eye, but before i open this game, i have to go offline.

But all jokes aside, this game is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Masterpiece, with the only bad part being that i will never be able to play it or dlc3 for the first time ever again.

The worldbuilding is some of the best and most depressing I've seen, that forces you to connect the dots, and doing real life research into the people, Locations, and Literature referenced, in order to get a deeper understanding of the world and characters, which was one of the most rewarding and interesting experiences i had in a while.

I was also blown away by how much different the combat was to the first game, while in the first game you just summoned your Heroines, in this one you are alone most of the time, which seems daunting at first, until you figure out that consuming most items no longer takes a turn, and you can swap your weapons each turn, allowing you to do some insane combos.

Thank you Otaku Plan, for making this Gem easily accessible to me, and thank you Toro, for crafting a Schizophrenic nightmare for a Schizophrenic to enjoy, and i can not wait to try dead red Hood.

It takes a lot for me to get emotionally invested to anything,but this is one of the most beautiful games i've played,not in terms of graphics but the way it was written. I've played this game countless times,memorized nearly everything about the giant map and even the character's dialogues...something about this game makes me completely attached to it and i can't find the words to describe it.

The art style feels good to look at,the bgm is so memorable it plays in my head. I was already blown away by how the first game made me feel but this is truly something else. The poetry,the character designs,the way character interactions are carried out,I can't write how i feel about it without jumping from topic to topic. It ticks off so many boxes for me.

I wanted to write something small referencing something in the game,but i feel like no matter what i write here or how long i keep attempting to rewrite this review,i won't ever be satisfied because my words really can't do justice to this game. Black souls got me out of my poetry block. This series means so much to me,

Although i might secretly wish it would stay a cult classic,Toro absolutely deserves recognition for their magnum opus. Also,the game gatekeeps itself well. I do understand how some people feel now that the game is getting more mainstream and it won't have that certain feel to it where it's hard to even find a wiki,or someone posts something about it you've never seen before,but atleast there will be more people to talk with about the game and more fan content. I've done everything there is to do,but i would still pay to buy it on steam even if it was a hundred dollars.

Anyway i have to stop myself here because i think i can go on forever,this is already a long ass review that two or three people will read,but i feel a little bit better simply putting my feelings out there. I am eternally grateful that i got to experience it a long time ago,playing the game completely blind without any spoilers. I Love BLACK SOULS.
